This review is from: Growing Green: Organic Techniques for a Sustainable Future (Paperback)
Why does this book exist? the writer seems to write for an inside audience and throws peoples names around that only a local villager would know. Another huge problem with this book is that he writes for a British audience. Many of the sayings and words used to describe a certain farming procedure are not common to the North American description and therefore the intent of easy reading is lost. I still can't understand why a book writer or publisher wouldn't use photos instead of poorly drawn illustrations to get his point across. the writer uses kindergarten drawings to show a farm implement and then tries to describe what it does. A decent photo takes up less ink and provides a better visual description of what the implement does. This same procedure goes for all aspects of the book including the idea of permaculture, pest control, etc. Don't buy this book, there are better examples out there to choose from.
