The Larousse Pocket Dictionary manages to walk the line between too much and too little. Many compact translation dictionarys have too few words. They are so compact that they become impractical. While on the other hand, this little book is complete while not exhausting. You will be able to find the words for:---"Excuse me, I am a member of the Tunis Police Force and you seem to be parked illigally" you will not however find the words for: ---"Confound it, Stop snorkeling your hot-n-tots at that Yak" Happy Translating...

This is a very useful reference tool. I wanted a handy desktop device (not the internet) to look up words and this fits the bill.

I'm sure this dictionary will be fine...WHEN IT ARRIVES...we've only been waiting just shy of 3 weeks for this to come in the mail. I sure hope my son gets it before the first day of school. If not, then I hope his french teacher is understanding and realizes that Amazon is new at mailing book...NOT! Get it together Amazon!!

This pettit livre tought me so much about French, I was able to impress a client in Nice, France. J'adore cette livre rouge! It is turely spectacular. I now know more French than English! Imagine that from a book...
