A good little synthesis of data interpretation, from statistics to charts to syllogisms. Word of warning though, at the end, pushes its agenda a bit too far, blabbing about media concentration theories and gets in a cynic mood; tone of the book shifts 180°. As an example, author says reality TV is stupid, well, that's his opinion (and mine as well), but I believe it does not belong in a book that is supposed to be about reasoning and analysis. Fortunately that part is less than a sixth of the whole book.

Inspired by Noam Chomsky, this book is a critical thinking how-to. Each section probes readers into reading between the lines, dissecting what people say in the media, and seeing through statistics. He goes a bit too far with the logic equations (perhaps I'm just intimidated by them), but the book serves its purpose. Although not original in terms of ideas, this is a great compendium and guide. Use his footnotes and bibliography for further reading.

This book is a nice introduction to logic and critic thinking. The text is easy to read and the notions are well explained by the author.
