Great art on top quality paper,
By
This review is from: Illusive 2: Contemporary Illustration and Its Context (Hardcover)
The first book I bought of the Illusive contemporary art series is actually Illusive: Contemporary Illustration Part 3. I was smitten by the quality of the art and the book itself and had to get the earlier books. This is an inspiring book with a broad range of illustrations, all brilliantly reproduced on high grade art paper. There are hundreds of artists with their own unique style, creating art work mainly with traditional medium. This book is a visual treat with its beautiful illustrations. The only text are some interviews, and at the back is the index with the artists' websites. It's a great resource for illustrators and graphic designers. Well worth the money. (There are more pictures of the book on my blog. Just visit my Amazon profile for the link.)

so inspiring,
This review is from: Illusive 2: Contemporary Illustration and Its Context (Hardcover)
Illlusive 2 is one of the most beautiful books on illustration I have seen - it's a book that inspires, amazes and pushes you to go further with your own work. Wide variety of styles. I was happy to see 2 of my favorites, Ian Carr + Kerry Roper. If you're a collector of contemporary drawing books you need to buy this (pick up Vitamin D while you're at it too). Love it.

Kickass talent in this compendium off illustration types. Nice write ups as well on some of the artists. As well inspirational and mind joggily(see differently)) when working on a personal project.
