This movie takes place in the wild 50's when rock music is starting to grip the youth of America. The story focuses on Cry Baby (Johnny Depp) and his gang, a group of disfunctional lovable rock outsiders who are just happy to be themselves. One girl, Allison, wishes to escape her white-bread world, and instantly falls in love with Cry Baby. However thre are some twists that leave her unable to decide between Cry Baby and her Republican Youth boyfriend.

This is a hilarious musical comedy. Throughout the whole movie, there are lots of great song and dance numbers which recall the days of wild rockabilly music. Johnny Depp is a very good musical performer, and I especially liked Amy Locane's performance as Allison. Since this is a John Waters film, there is a lot of oddball humor in this film. If you like your comedy a little off center, this one will hit the spot.

it's a good movie with an awesome soundtrack, whenever i listen to it, i sing it all day long ! the storyline's a little bit been here, done that, but still, Johnny Depp makes all the difference. i would definitely recommend the movie to any Grease fan or to anyone for that matter !!!!

Great cast, this movie made me laugh, the girl who plays Hachetface made laugh just by looking at her, The songs are catchy and the movie is just a great succes in my book.

I have been watching this movie ever since I was 6, and now I'm 15. It's great and the best part is that Johnny Depp is in it. I think he's incredibly hott no matter what he wears. This movie should definately be on dvd. What I don't get is why does Johnny and (Amy) make out in the movie when she is still dating the other guy, lol. But, it's a very cute movie. I think everybody who hasn't seen it yet, should!

I thought that this film was great and fantastic for cheering you up. The songs were really catchy and cheesy (in a good way) and Johnny Depp looked incredible. A must for ALL fans. It just makes me wonder what is going through the directors head by not putting this on dvd, it is mazing.

This movie is so bad it hurts. It's incredibly campy and silly, a wonderful parody. I'd say a definate must for Johnny Depp fans (and I can't say I'm one of them) and for anyone who enjoys a good laugh at stupidly silly films. No smart comedy hear, no deep message or meaning, just a hilarious spoof filled with catchy songs and dance moves. A good rainy day film, or for cheering you up, though I think if you were really in a bad mood this movie would just seem stupid and make you want to scream. Still, not bad when you want a laugh. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone looking for witty comedy or a serious or engaging film, just someone ready for a silly and over-the-top movie filled with song and dance and tons of unbelievabley stereotyped fun characters.

4-stars for a quirky and silly movie. Nothing extrodinary, but still fun!

Cry Baby is one of my top 5 favorite movies. I've been watching it sinse I was 6 years old, dancing around the living room singing along to those catchy (but corny) songs! I'm 17 years old, i've been watching the USA channel version long enough! Put this great movie on DVD so I can buy it! Just to give the movie some props instead of just begging for it to be on DVD, here's my opinion: the actors are hillarious and talented, the plot is unbelievably corny (in a good way), and it's one of the greatest movies you'll ever see!

I think the movie Cry Baby is a very good movie.It really should be on DVD.Johnny Depp looks very good in this movie.He is attractive in this movie."Please Mr.Jailer" let this movie be on DVD.I wish the director would let it be on DVD.It shows Johnny Depp and Ricki Lake.It is very cute and the songs are really funny.And at the end they get stuck in your head and you never forget them.It based on the 50's.And Johnny is like one of those Elvis type guys.Well I don't want to give too much away.Just please let us have it on DVD. :)

I really loved this movie. The songs and the very odd yet interesting characters really draw you in. This movie is what first made me become a Johnny Depp fan ( I mean he looks really really good in this film). The movie is awesome the whole way through but the ending is the best and the song is unforgettable.
HEY MR. JAILER!!!!!!! man, i love that part! So I would love everyone to go and see this movie and I definetly would recommend it.
