Unwatchable. Disgusting., Jui 6 2004

This movie had EXTREMELY bad humor, EXTREMELY bad acting, and was seriously insulting. It insulted my religin and kids with mental disabilities. My sister is autistic. This movie is unwatchable- I could hardly bear watching. They tried too hard to be funny, and turned out STUPID. Never watch this. Bad words, bad humor, bad- everything! The sexual jokes were really bad and disgusting. How could this have actully made it to the big screen? And if you think I sound old-ladyish, then I'll just let you know: I'm 13.

This is by far the WORST SNL spin-off movie. I sat through the entire movie without even cracking a smile. Thats how un-funny it was. I mean A Night At The Roxbury was terrible too, but i at least laughed a few times. This movie just totally goes to show everyone that the old SNL casts were 1,000,000 times better. This cast [wasnt good]. They are NOT funny. They try way too hard to be funny and it dosn't work. The "Superstar" skits on SNL were terrible to begin with. This movie was just a bunch of the un-funny skits rolled into one 90 minute movie that you will be sure to throw out. If you want a TRUE SNL spin-off movie from the cast that is actually funny without even trying, get Wayne's World, Wayne's World 2, The Blues Brothers, or Coneheads. I will NEVER watch this movie again. And if you are one of the people who think that this SNL cast is just hilarious, watch an old episode of SNL and then a new episode and listen to the audience laughing. The laughs decrease once this cast rolls in."Superstar" runs for about 90 minutes. It is rated PG-13 for sexual humor, and some language.

Worst. Movie. Ever., Nov. 5 2001
Words cannot describe how horrible this movie is. The writing is awful, the acting is worse, and the plot is just plain stupid! Do not waste your time watching this movie! I wish the SNL producers would learn their lesson by now: 10 minute skits do not translate well into 90 minute movies, especially when the skit is not funny in the first place. Mary Katherine Gallagher is the worst character ever to stink up the silver screen, and I pray we've seen the last of her.

This movie has to rank as one of the worst I have ever seen. Giving it 1 star is being gracious (they don't have a selection for 0 stars). This movie might have had a chance if the supposedly high school students didn't look like they were 50 years old....

This movie is OK for kids who like stupid humor, but personally, it was really bad. It's like a 1 1/2 hour Saturday night live skit~They're great when they're only 5 mins. or whatever, but this movie is horrible. You might like it if you enjoyed Night at the Roxburry however

You'll want to turn this movie off after ten minutes. It's pure garbage. It's never funny and just so stupid you feel like a dumber person for watching it. Just like the failing seasons of Saturday Night Live, you should avoid it at all costs.

HORRIBLE!, Déc 24 2000
Before I watched "Superstar," I was expecting it to be hilarious from what I was hearing about it. It turned out to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen and one of the biggest disappointments of all time in my opinion. Molly Shannon stars as a girl who has dreams of becoming a superstar. She's the most unattractive and unpopular girl in her school, but that doesn't stop her. During the whole movie, I was expecting at least one part of it to be funny, but it turned out that no part of the movie even made me grin. "Superstar" is one of the corniest movie I've ever seen, all the way from the way Molly Shannon acts and moves, to the story of how her parents died is just plain corny and unfunny. And the way the movie portrays God is going way too far. Don't make the mistake I did and think before you see "Superstar" that it's gonna be a hilarious movie because it's not. I don't recommend "Superstar" at all.

BEWARE!, Jui 9 2000
Whatever you do, DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE! I can't believe I wasted my money on renting this trash! This film was nothing but an overlong version of the sketch. This is by far the worst SNL movie yet with terrible and cheesy acting. I saw this movie because I heard Tom Green was in it. However, he was only in it for about 45 seconds. To think that I wasted and hour and a half of my time on this garbage. Stay away from this film, I promise that you aren't missing much.
