I'll admit, this movie is kinda bad. But it's one of those movies, that's really bad and stupid and just so ridiculous...that you love it (Like "A Night at the Roxbury"). I first saw this with my best friend at a sleepover when we were totally high on sugar, soda and ice-cream (the best time to watch this movie, by the way...), and it became an instant sleepover classic.I suggest this movie for the slightly insane (I'm nuts and I'm proud)

Omygod. Easily one of the funniest movies ever made. Molly Shannon of course can make the dictionary hilarious. Mary Catherine Ghallager (MKG) is your "average" teen dreaming of the perfect kiss and becoming a superstar. Not as hokey as it sounds. This movie is hilarious and is all out fun. The skirt blowing scene at the beginning nearly made me pee my pants. The whole movie is filled with either all out laughs or subtle little moments that you catch after watching it a couple of times. The ridiculousness of MKG is very endearing and may actually hit a little close to home as you remember you teenage years--if you're like me you try and try to block them out!!
Great, fun movie.

This movie is the best movie ever made. This movie is filled with memeorable quotes, including Father Ridley's sermon-esque opinions about VD. Also it is a really positive story Mary went from having a bad self image to not caring what anyone thinks of her. Also Molly Shannon is just an amazing actress and commedianne. She can do no wrong when it comes to comedy. I would say that if you have a true sense of humor, you will enjoy this movie.

SUPERSTAR IS NON STOP FUNNY!, Aoû 31 2003
Superstar is one of those movies that you will never get bored with. It's one of those movies that you watch when you are sad. It will cheer you up within the first 5 minutes! The movie was made based on the success of the comedy routine on Saturday Night Live. They really should have made a movie about the Gap Girls before Chris Farely died. The movie is about a girl named Mary who does not fit in and wants to be a superstar and get a movie star kiss. The school holds a talent contest and the winner gets a free trip to Hollywood to be and extra in a movie. Mary knows that this is her chance. The dvd features are theatrical trailer,set up and scene selection. I would reccomend this for anyone who likes Saturday Night Live.

This movie I like the best I would watch It all day if I could so funny My sister always gets mad at me cause I watch it constintly. If you like comedy you should by this movie The dance that she does with the hole school Is so funny I know the whole thing well My point is this is the best movie that was probably made in 1999 Thats all for today

I am a big fan of SNL and I love these scetches. This movie is funny and so fun to watch. I am a really big fan of Molly and Will. I definetley reccomend this movie

This is a hiarious movie. The first time I saw it I almost wet myself. If you like the SNL skits of Mary Katherine Gallagher, then you'll love this movie. The more times you watch it the funnier it gets. You notice small unsignificant details that aren't important the make the movie more funny. For instance, there are only vw beetles in the movie, they are either black or green (besides Slater's Bike)

You've gotta see this dvd!! It is the GREATEST!!! It stars the hliarious Molly Shannon and Will Ferrel from Saturday Night Live. It is a movie about a geeky and very clumsy Catholic school-girl who has all her life wanted to be a superstar so that she could get a "big fireworks hollywood type kiss". So she trys out for a talent contest at school to try and meet her goal. I don't wanna give anything away, but that's basically what it's about... Anyway, I think it's a GREAT movie. I schedule my time to watch it every night at least 4-5 times a week! It's a MUST-HAVE for ALL comedy lovers!!! Gives you PLENTY of laughs!!! :)

Ignore all the reviews that diss this movie, because its great!
Its got Molly Shannon and MARK MCKINNEY In It!!! And they make it all better! And Bruce McCulloch (a very great man!!) directed the film so of course its genius!!
