The kung-fu fighting dancing queens spice up your lives,

Hell, I already praised a Britney album, so this next step is only natural.Besides, who can deny that the once fearsome-fivesome (quintet?) are probably the most undoubtedly fun group ever to come roaring out of the 90's? ...Anyone? Okay, then. But back on track - pure sugary confectionary pop perfection all for us. Woohoo! Fast-paced furious latin-vibing Spice Up Your Life (built around a dancey piano line and godknows what else), the calming, watery, crammed-to-bursting-with-pretty-strings Motown vibes of Too Much (The Supreme Spices? Hmm...), the slinky sexy TLC-esque 90's R&B of Denying, the chilling Latin-tinged (there's that phrase again) ballad Viva Forever... And the rest of the good stuff: The loud, energetic Pepsi anthem Move Over, the jazzy loungey ender built around a swingin' bunch-o-brass (The Lady Is A Vamp), and my personal favorite: Stop. Frighteningly perky and sunny. And brassy - horns out the wazoo. Cheesy claptrack, check. Beeps, check. But good lord I love it. Anyone up for being in a good mood? Then enter Spice World, and please check to make sure you are not allergic to any of the following: Ginger Enjoy.

God! What was I thinking when I decidedto watch this movie. Oh yeah! I was a big fan of Spice Girls and I wasn't really thinking. Seriously, I expected more than this. I Thought they could have done better...MUCH BETTER! Before this movie came out, I thought it owuld be brilliant but, I am so god damn disappointed! This came out more of a stereotype of the worse movie ever. The word WHYYYYYYYY comes to mind. They have the potential to be great actress and they have blew it here! They should have gotten a better script.

I think this movie is good. I can say the Spice Girls are wonderful women. I assure you that it would be terrific to have Amy Winehouse in comedy movies. Even if Amy Winehouse would make a wonderful Spice Girl she should be Punk Rocker Spice.

Still a great pop album, craze aside!,

So to make an understatement of the century, the Spice phenomenon has died down. To put it lightly, it's deader than dead could ever be. Yet, this album is a reflection of something that was, and something that only comes around every so often; a genuine, 100% insanely popular, widely worshipped international FAD. The album is a fun, fresh collection of pop that definitely has flavors of all kinds of genres as well. It is clever and unique and even though it IS bland, it's not bland at all. All of these songs are fun STILL and that's saying a lot, considering that these girls' fifteen minutes are SO over. As someone who grew up listening to the Spice Girls, when I listen to this album, I think of what was - the 1990s, growing up, my friends, my old life, the simplicity of popping this album in and listening it and dancing to it with friends in the back yard. All that aside, it is a fun album and I think that despite critics and parents (mine especially) despising these girls and their music, I am a fan even after all this time. Spice World KICKS. Girl power forever.

Back when this was released, I thought that this was really great music, and up to this day, I still think its. This is much better than its predecessor as the girls give each other space to sing. The songs here are much more energetic, carefree, fun and happy. It was no wonder why these girls were so successful. Eac song is laced with very good instrumentation, empowering lyrics, and the girls quirky vocals. This is the best soundtrack to youth pop music could ever offer.

Cant they make a cd with more than 10 tracks at least?,

For the music part the only good song is Spice up your life. The rest are out of touch and out of sight. They are to lazy to make a full album of at least 14 tracks or more this sucks.

A Hard Day's Spice,
By A Customer
This review is from: Spice World (Widescreen/Full Screen) (DVD)
Another "pop phenomenon" that was crushed by the weight of the media, over exposure, being pre-fabricated, and not being able to sustain a creative drive. The Spice Girls decided to make a movie at the height of their success and it was down hill from there. SPICE WORLD supposedly pays homage to A HARD DAY'S NIGHT as each member of the quintent have somewhat individual personalities (at least in their distinct names..Posh,Scary,Baby,Ginger,and Sporty). The movie tries to be a comedy as the girls poke fun at themselves and at the pop scene as they go from rehearsals, photo shoots, and press conferences etc. with a little help from some friends (cameos from Elton John, Bob Hoskins, and Elvis Costello). There is some fun in all of this. However, of course, this movie is not innovative and the Spice Girls music is not very memorable. In the end of all this, do we really know these girls as individuals? Do we want to see more, want to know more, about the group and do we care? Apparently not.

Spice Girls are one of those groups that even if you're a hardcore rocker you HAVE to love it. I enjoyed this album very much. It's fun to listen to. Spice Girls never fail to produce wonderful pop/dance music to listen to when you want to just relax in your room or with a couple of friends. A GREAT cd to do karoake to as well. Favourites- 'Denying', 'Viva Forever', 'Too Much' and 'Do It'
