Forget the movie, buy it for the music. This is the kind of once-in-a-decade score that delivers soul-reaching motifs you will always cherish. If you're looking for a "favorite CD" that will last you for more than a week, this is it.

That is not to say that the movie was awful, it wasn't; it is just that this music stands on it's own as a powerful and beautiful orchestration. The main theme that runs through out it reminiscent of Star Wars or Indiana Jones-type music: MEMORABLE!

This soundtrack really captures the intensity of the motion picture. It easily stands by itself as a great piece of music. There are very few soundtracks that have the quality exemplified by this one.

David Arnold has successfully captured the epic feeling of this movie and the mysterious presense within it. Along with this is the human aspect. The emotions just fly straight to your soul!

This is a rare case where truly spectacular sci fi music was used in a horrible film. Arnold seems to have so much fun with his compositions, and it shows. Nearly every single track offers a power play between lush and powerful marches and delicate choirs. For example, the beautiful first track starts out in a uplifting march and transcends into a Orff like choir chant fest. Its power and mystery will engulf you. Many of the other tracks are as equally impressive, and the key word LOUD! On a final note, movie goers may recognize this music for it has been extenisvely used in movie previews, ie Volcano and Lost in Space. Enjoy, for this is the best!
