5.0 out of 5 stars Best soundtrack of the 80s (ok ok almost), Sep 15 2003
By
This review is from: St. Elmo's Fire (Audio CD)
That was a very good movie in the 80s and it still good compare to some very bad teen flick of today. The soundtrack is very good with songs by John Parr, David Foster and a few others. I buy the soundtrack because of thoses 2, they were the best and their music still play on radio nowadays. I like it, easily a 5/5 for me!! This is a must-buy!! Specialy if you're a fan of that great movie.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great 80s flashback, Dec 9 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: St. Elmo's Fire (Audio CD)
I was raised in the 80s, and this cd just brings up so many memories of my childhood. The songs are not just great for reminiscing though, they're fun to listen to on a Saturday afternoon dancing around your room, or just reading your favorite book. And friends who aren't even big fans of 80s music like this cd. If you were alive in the 80s (regardless of how old you were) you should buy this cd. You won't regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best Sountracks Around, Oct 23 1999

This review is from: St. Elmo's Fire (Audio CD)
This is worth buying, if for no other reason than John Elephante's (The lead singer for Kansas in the 80's) song - "Young and Innocent," That song is only released on this album as, far as I know.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent memories from an 80's teen!!, Sep 13 1999

This review is from: St. Elmo's Fire (Audio CD)
This albumn is bittersweet. It reminds me of being a teenager, wishing to go to college, and leaving someone special. Then the feelings of after college and "this is it?" come shining through. I will always treasure David Foster's voice on the last song. A lot of memories come crashing back. You remeber when love was innocent, "for just a moment."

4.0 out of 5 stars A realistic look at the quality of the album., Mar 3 1999

There is so much still not known about Rob Lowe. I mean what really happened with him and that 16 year old girl. Is it true that Emilio Estevez was drunk when he married Paula Abdul. Awesome album.See ya.

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful soundtrack for a great movie!, Jan 27 1999
This review is from: St. Elmo's Fire (Audio CD)
If you like the works of David Foster, then you should buy this compilation of his fine work. The instrumental songs are great to listen to when you're in a romantic mood (and even when you're trying to have a slow dance with your loved one..) About some of the songs in that album..John Parr has that cool and 'husky' voice that really suits the mood for the message of "Man in Motion"-particularly to show the kind of spirit Emilio Estevez had (in the movie) when he tried to win Andie McDowell's heart (who played a nurse, I think) "Georgetown" conveys the feeling of loneliness and 'campus homesickness' as Rob Lowe (in the movie) went back to his old campus and tried to mingle with the newer students by playing football- only to discover that they glorified his comeback by reminding him about his past. Finally, if you're a single guy, then try to play the instrumental song of "St. Elmo's Fire" or the song called "Young and Innocent" on piano or guitar..they can take the breath away of whoever girls you're trying to impress!..believe me, I've tried it and IT WORKS!..
