"Sumpin' New" and "Revolution"ary,
By Todd (Ontario, Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Gangsta's Paradise (Audio CD)
Coolio's second album, "Gangsta's Paradise" is his best and one of the best of 1995. Ranging from upbeat and uplifting to dark and depressing, Coolio gives us a wide array of tracks that are unique, and uninfluenced by any other artist. Nearly every song is prefectly produced and deliousciously delivered, the outcome being a near masterpiece. The album's only flaw is perhaps Coolio's attempt to appeal to a very large audience, rendering it more of a commercial output than a purely creative one. Nevertheless, Gangsta's Paradise is a great record and no matter what genre of rap you are interested in, it has something for you.

Gangsta's Paradise is a great song. Rest of the album is just average( exept Too Hot and Kind High Kinda Drunk). Good album but nothing special. Coolio can do better.
