Very fine, but, Jan 5 2004

As fine as these performances are, and, too, the rest of her performances of the complete sonata set, one must compare before investing not just money, but the heartstrings you will let be tugged by this music. After all, this is music you will come back to again and again. So be sure to pick the one you genuinely like. I suggest a listen to Andras Schiff for comparison. Shiff is a little faster and has a brighter piano sound, and, I think, is a bit more lyrical. These are two different flavors of the same music. And both are very fine. Let your own heart be the judge.

Mitsuko Uchida is supreme, Dec 13 2002
This review is from: Pno Sons 15-16 (Audio CD)
This artist has exquisite touch. If one could psychically move the keys of the piano, and express the delicacy of thought, it would sound like Mitsuko Uchida. You are hearing a soul when Uchida plays, hers or very possibly Mozart's. I would give any work of hers the highest recommendation possible.

K545 is Mozart's most popular sonata, and Mitsuko Uchida interprets an astonishing performance. Very special.
