"Fire down under" from 1981 is often regarded as Riot's finest. I'm sorry to say, but I don't quite agree, I think both "Rock city" (1977) and "Restless breed" (1982) are slightly better. But that doesn't mean that "Fire down under" is no good. Songs as the opening rocker "Swords & tequila" and the furious title track "Fire down under", together with the catchy "Outlaw", and the speedy "Run for your life" are all good. The production is rather unpolished and raw with a bit too much treble, but this effort is clearly worth listening to (even if it's not essential), especially if you're into vintage and traditional heavy metal.
