The Artists and Album of the MILLENNIUM,
By Tobin M. Emerson (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Millennium (Audio CD)
Okay, this CD broke the record of Garth Brooks' when it sold over 1 million copies in it's first week. It's gone 8 times platinum (certified by the RIAA) and sold a total of 12 million worldwide and the Backstreet Boys have sold a total of 28 million CD's in the past about 4 years. Their tour sold out in less than an hour. They won the Europe MTV's Viewers Choice Award. It's a fact that they are gaining fans almost daily. Shouldn't this tell you something? They harmonize beautifully, and their voices are unique. All the songs are unique on this CD-some good to get up and groove to and others are just plain tearjerkers. "Show Me the Meaning Of Being Lonely" and "I Need You Tonight" are my favorites! And ofcourse, the hit "I Want It That Way" is too catchy and cool to explain. I hope in this review I haven't sounded too excited! I'm a diehard-no, WON'Tdie fan of theirs and I try to keep myself from getting carried away! So follow my advice and go out and buy this CD right away! You won't regret it!

Millenium is one of my favorite Backstreet Boys albums. The song, I WANT IT THAT WAY is an amazing song and one of the best songs from the Backstreet Boys. Show me the meaning of being lonely- a beautiful ballad and an incredible song. Larger than Life- a catchy song that will keep its chorus in your head. This is another incredible album from an incredible band.

honestly it's not fair to criticize someone else's music when you actually didn't try listening to it. the main reason many guys have a problem with the backstreet boys is because they don't have as many adoring female fans. the other reason is because guys think it's uncool to be emotional and express what you really feel. credit should be given to these guys. listen to the lyrics at the right moment and you'll learn to appreciate these guys. if you hate pop music, don't write reviews to make others look bad especially when you have no talent. don't make fun of these guys to prove to your friends that you are "cool". i honestly love this album and recommend it to people who listen to good music. favourite tracks are: don't wanna lose you, spanish eyes, i need you tonight, noone else comes close and back to your heart. this one is for all you haters out there.

BSB is back with their third album (second in the U.S.) which is an excellent album. Here's a track by track review of it:1. Larger Than Life, 10/10: A song for the fans, it has a good rock sound. 2. I Want It That Way, 10/10: Classic, excellent vocals by all of the boys. 3. Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely, 10/10: Same as above. 4. It's Gotta be You, 9/10: Great up-tempo song 5. I Need You Tonight, 9/10: Nick's vocals are great on this one. 6. Don't Want You Back, 9/10: Another great up-tempo song. 7. Don't Wanna Lose You Now, 10/10: Excellent ballad. 8. The One, 9/10: Great song 9. Back To Your Heart, 10/10: Excellent ballad again. 10. Spanish Eyes, 8/10: Great ballad. 11. No One Else Comes Close, 9/10: A.J.'s vocals are great on that one. 12. The Perfect Fan, 9/10: An ode to the moms written by Brian, great song, only Nick's vocals are missing. An excellent album overall, I'd recommend it to anyone who love god ballads.

Back in the 60s when boy bands actually played instruments, wrote songs, and resisted the urge to dance like fruitcakes, it wasn't really an insult to be labelled a "Boy Band."Today, however, they're nothing more than a testement to how much money certain record companies can squeeze out of unassuming 12-year olds who's only crime is that they haven't discovered Led Zeppelin yet.

For all you non-believers out there who dislike The Backstreet Boys for no apparant reason. Have you ever gone and seen them live in concert? I didn't think so. Have you ever listened to their music, knowing deep down in your heart that there REALLY is excellent vocal talent behind their singing? Again, I didn't think so. I don't care who you are, but DON'T go around putting other groups down for no reason. How would you like it if someone that you didn't know put you down and you happened to read it? Think about it. The Backstreet Boys are one of the best bands in the world and deserve to win a Grammy plus a whole lot more!
