Despite what anyone thinks of the image of the band. These guys are a great band and very talented! There lyrics and music rocked my ears off and this is the ultimate Warrant album!

Listening to this disc, I wonder why "Warrant" didn't get quite as big as some of their peers. Whether it's metal anthems, or ballads, this is loaded with great songs from that era. It's almost impossible not to bang your head, or air-guitar to "Down Boys" and "Cherry Pie". Plus, "Heaven" and "Sometimes She Cries" are just classic hair songs. They also started to get a little rootsy, and less glam on songs like "Uncle Tom's Cabin" and "Bed Of Roses". I think they could have done a better cover than "We Will Rock You", but at least it's listenable. Overall, a must for your "hair" collection. It'll go great with your "Cinderella" and "Poison" cd's.

All the old favorites,

This cd has all of the songs you know/love from Warrant in their original recordings. Personally, I like "Latest & Greatest" by Warrant better (many of the same songs, but re-recorded and better than ever), but if you like Warrant, this is how you're used to hearing these songs!

Excellent compilation,

When the nineties came along, everyone thought hair metal was dead. And for the most part they were right. However, a few bands managed to hold together through the radically changing musical times, and one of those bands was Warrant. Rather than stick to the glam tunes that most bands played in the eighties, these guys tried new things to "keep up with the times" in the nineties, and succeeded well. Read on for my review of this, the band's Best Of compilation.PROS: CONS: OVERALL:

THE PATHETICLY BALDING HAIR BAND !,
By FredericWhite "FredericWhite" (Montreal,Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Swing It Best Of (Audio CD)
This is CD is packed with cliche guitar riffs, nasal vocals and the extra added bonus is the heavy dose of juvenile lyrics. WARRANT are more of a joke now then during their brief moment of semi-fame. If you really want to add a CD to your collection that depicts one of the worst artistic moments in popular music, then purchase this CD but I strongly suggest that you close the windows of you residence when playing this CD. The people next door may call the police claiming that animals are being tortured.

absolutely beautiful music,

I had the chance of barrowing this cd from my singer. It is wonderful. If you like heavier 80s hair bands type music, this cd is for you. Its full of excellent love/power ballads that are usually not played on the radio because most people dont have the ability to feel the passion involved with this kind of rock. ok, sorry about the sarcasm but, seriously, this cd rocks. if you like stuff like poison, you'll love this. I say "buy it" or just stop listening to music.

Could be much better...,

I always rate "best of" and "hits" cds by how close them come to what I'd make myself. This one misses "Blind Faith" and the original version of "I Saw Red" from Cherry Pie. I'd also put on "Bitter Pill" and "Let It Rain" from the third cd Dog Eat Dog (their best). Also check out Ultrphobic, it's a great album. For casual or new fans, this cd is the one to get though.

EXPLICIT LYRICS ?,

Where on this album can I find the explicit lyrics? What a joke! I love Warrant and and have all of their albums, but this album puts a lot (not near all) of my favorites in one place. Other than the word ... in We Will Rock You, it's as clean as a Backstreet Boys album. Whoever gave it the "R" rating must have not listened to the record, jut the reputation.

I just want to comment their cover version of We Will Rock You from Queen, it's great! I think their version is better.

ONE OF THE BEST GLAM METAL BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,
By Agustín Josué (México, D.F.) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Swing It Best Of (Audio CD)
This album it's one of my favorites. Contains the best music of Warrant's albumS "D.R.F.S.R", "Cherry pie" and "Dog eat dog". My favorites tracks are "Machine gun", "Mr. Rainmaker", "Uncle Tom's cabin", "Down boys" and "Cherry pie". I think, the first three albums are a collector's item, of course, if you like the hair, glam and heavy Rock.
