I think this movie is so cool. Even I think Shannon Elizabeth is one beautiful woman. I love Shannon Elizabeth because she is my kind of fantasy girlfriend. Everying else made me laugh.

We didn't think we'd like this film, but we did. I don't know how we missed it when it first came out, but better late than never.
I won't go into film description number five hundred and forty, but I will say this: this film is funny, entertaining, unique, and well worth adding to your collection.
Sure, at times it's rude, crude, somewhat shocking, and surprises the viewer, but it isn't dull or predictable, and it has good momentum right to the end. It starts out being mind candy, then takes you on a journey and ends up being so much more. The actor/character files in the special features add a lot to the background of the film and the characters, and the other special features are good too.
Can't wait to see the other two now :-)

I was reluctant to see "American Pie", because every time I heard the name of the movie, I really was hearing "just another lame teen movie" or another "Animal House" wannabe, or the "Porky's" of my generation, but worse. Well, one day I had nothing to do, so I decided to watch it. I was very surprised by "American Pie" because the movie is actually funny.

"American Pie" does have some elements that could have contributed to make another silly movie, like the gross-out humor, the usual share of T&A, the fouled language, in few words, the typical ingredients of a cheap teen movie.

But "American Pie" has key elements that set the movie apart from its predecessors: the cast is kinda charismatic, some of these actors and actresses will be lost in oblivion and others will be famous, but it's hard to deny that these cast is funny and sure they had fun while they were filming "American Pie". Special mention to Eugene Levy, he brings the wisdom of a veteran, and mixes very well with the young newcomers, of course, he steals every scene that he appears on.

The girls in this kind of movies usually are attractive, and thankfully (to the guys) "American Pie" has pretty girls like Tara Reid, Alyson Hannigan, Shannon Elizabeth and Mena Suvari, not all these girls have real acting talent, but at least in "American Pie" they got the work done.

On the other hand, this original "American Pie" movie is the only one truly worthy in the series. I'm sure there are a lot of fans of the second and third movies, but the most demanding audiences will agree that the only decent "American Pie" movie, is this one, the original.

American Pie is a great comedy depicting the true situations teenagers face everyday. The concept of the movie is not original, as there are many movies like this. But this one is the best of them all. Four friends, Jim, Finch, Oz and Kevin make a pact to get laid before graduation and the things that ensue are hilarious. It is viewed by some as immature and grossly stupid at times, but that is the charm of this movie. Right away when we see Jim get caught with the tubesock, it becomes evident that he will be the one that happens to end up in the most embarrasing situations. What is so funny about this movie is the way teen life is depicted. Nothing fake about it. Teens are concerned with parties, sex and other things, and this captures a pretty good picture of what it is like being a teenager growing up. After you see this you will have it stuck in your head. Say what you will about it being immature, but it is guaranteed to keep you laughing as you follow the lives of average teenagers that just want to get laid.

Ok, here's the plot:some douchebags make a pact to get laid. Wow, great plot, I'd love to see a movie like that...not. Then at the end when they get laid, it just shows sex scenes. Wow, real funny, teenagers having sex. If I wanted to see people have sex, I'd watch a damn porno. The movie isn't that funny. There's some funny parts, but the movie's still retarded. I hope there's an American Pie movie where Jason Bigg's character gets in a divorce and committs suicide, while his wife becomes a crack whore. That'll show people how much life really sucks. I just wasted $15 on this piece of crap, and now I can't get it back. I hate this movie and Jason Biggs.

I know that many hate this movie and think it immature and stupid, but it is so funny! The quest of four guys to lose their virginity by prom and the little mishaps along the way. My friends and I fell over from laughing. We had to pause the movie after Jim and the pie incident because we were laughing so hard. I liked that the directors pushed the buttons when they made this movie. Thats what makes it so memorable. I love it, own it, quote it. This movie is a must see.

American Pie is hands down one of the greatest comedies ever. This movie is raunchy, very funny, but it also has heart to it.The explict sex scenes crude humor, and strong language in this movie may be to much for some people but it doesnt bother me. Everybody says it influences teen sex and teen drinking, but this movie isnt just about teen sex and teen drinking its about growing up and the stuff teenagers go through. Jim is the dorky guy that tries to hard, Oz is the sensitive jock, Kevin is the guy who wants everthing to be perfect, Finch is the 40 year old living in a 18 year olds body, and Stifler is the wild crazy party guy. This movie also has great acting by, ( Jason Biggs, Chris Clien, Thomas Ian Nichols, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Sean William Scott, Tara Reid, Shannon Elizibeth, and of course Eugene Levy), a good script , and great first time directors. I would recommend this movie to people who like funny, raunchy, but heart warming comedies!!!!!

This movie is one of the worst films ever to be recorded in American History. It is even worse than the awful and appauling Scooby Doo. The fact that the women are portrayed as nothing but sex-objects really pissed me off. I mean, haven't we had enough [***]? The whole movie is one big sterotype of teenagers. A piece of wasteful garbage. All the actors in this movie are talentless losers who I hope will get no where in life. Chuck this stinky piece of rotten apple pie in the garbage and go rent 'Real Women Have Curves' instead.

I used to hate this movie! It was with no good reason however. When it first came out for rental my roommate rented it. I had started a new job at the time and was unable to watch it because I had to go to bed in order to get up by 7:30 am. It was a week night and my roommate had some friends over. They laughed so much and so loud that I was unable to sleep. I had a hatred toward the movie because of this. As I laid in my bed with a pillow over my head, I thought how funny could that damn movie possibly be!! I know it's a silly reason for me to not have watched the movie till now, but I was so bias due to a nights sleep lost right before starting that new job. So now nearly 5 years later, and after seeing the 2 sequels, I brought myself to buy the unrated version. I now know why they were laughing so loud. It's not only funny but well written with great characters. So even tho I got to know the characters in AP2 and American Wedding, it was nice to rewind and see where it all started. And yes once again it was dumb of me to blame such a cool flick, but I still think my roommate was rude. He knew I had to get up early.
