One of her best!,

I love to see her play leading roles in these types of movies. Jennifer looks absolutely gorgeous is all the short skirts she wears in this film, but they fit her personality and beauty so well!! She certainly has the legs and used them to her advantage! Her acting ability was superb in Picture Perfect and she's certainly the star of the show. She can be serious and witty and very business like. Rather than get into the nitty gritty about the story, let's just say that I'd hightly recommend it to anyone wanting good entertainment on most any nights with lots of laughts and a story that stays with you.

Jennifer Aniston stars in this romantic comedy and does a great job at her performance. I enjoyed her acting and the acting of Jay Mohr and Kevin Bacon, but the story line could have been better. It didn't really pull on my heartstrings like a lot of other romantic comedys out there. I would compare it to that teacher you had in Junior High, you know the one that taught health (a realitively unexciting class) who was a good teacher, but years down the line you can't quite remember her name. Well this is that movie...you love Jennifer Aniston, but years down the line you won't be able to remember if you've ever seen this movie, or you will remember seeing it, but not remember the plot. As it is, a good movie for what it's worth. Light and doesn't require a lot of thinking. I wouldn't suggest buying it, but renting might not be a bad idea.

"Yes. I would like my romance light with very little fluff.",

This is more predictable Hollywood romance, with a dash of semi-realism. While it is noteworthy to point out the strong female character that Jennifer Aniston plays, the script eventually falls into the classic mold of misconstrued circumstances leading (hopefully) to outright laughter. While the laughs never really come, the romance between Mrs. Aniston and Jay Mohr is charged with some believable chemistry. These two people really like each other, and not just platonically. Some of the potential laughs are forced, like every scene involving Olympia Dukakis and her loud over-acting. Kevin Bacon really doesn't come across as a believable love-interest, either. It would have been better had he been a complete slimeball. There are no characters to either love nor hate, and only the lead female character to admire; and for all the heterosexual men in the world, only Jay Mohr's character to envy. Jennifer Aniston eventually has to carry this film until Jay Mohr shows up, so the first 30 minutes are laborious. But once the chemistry begins and the embers start to glow, the movie reveals a kind of honesty that is refreshing. This is a solid rental; or if you are a hopeless/hopeful romantic, this just might be your cup of coffee.

Although it seems that few people liked the film, I thought it was pretty good. As in most romantic comedies, the plot was pretty predictable, but all the actors did a great job. I love it.

A Lawsuit Waiting To Happen, But Oh So Funny!!!,

I love Jennifer Anniston and Jay Mohr, so this movie is a treat from the beginning. The initial premise is somewhat hackneyed in that Kate (Anniston) is an obviously talented employee at Mercer Advertising. She is quick and full of ideas and an absolute dream person. Yet, after coming up with the killer idea that gains a large account for her company, she is flatly told that she can't work on the account. Why? Because she isn't married, driving an expensive car or struggling with a house payment she can't afford. Her boss (wonderful Kevin Dunn) insists that there is nothing holding her to the company and she therefore can't rise.If you don't know, this is a dream, open and shut case for any civil attorney. A blatant act of discrimination. Kate goes off to a wedding, and has her picture taken with Nick (Mohr) the photographer. Her co-worker gets the idea to lie to Mercer saying Kate is engaged to Nick and that wins her the promotion that she deserves. All is well until Nick saves a child from a burning building and prompts Mercer to ask to meet Nick. So Kate offers to pay Nick to pretend he's her fiancee, then pick a fight and break up with her. All is well until Nick actually falls for Kate. Other than the implausible concept that gives the movie its start, this is a warm and truly engaging film that will have you watching over and over. Highly Recommended.

I Love Jennifer Aniston, But This Movie Isn't Worth It,
By BookMania (Stafford, TX, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Picture Perfect (Widescreen) (DVD)
I love Jennifer Aniston, I love the TV sitcom in which she stars, and I obtained this movie with aspirations to like it, as well. Unfortunately, I just can't. This movie just isn't that good.Aniston plays a woman named Kate who is a young and ambitious advertising executive. She has great ideas and tremendous potential, but the only thing holding her back is that her boss thinks that she doesn't have enough strings attached. The fact that she's young, single, and debt-free makes him skeptical about whether or not she'll be a loyal employee, or whether she might one day decide to work for some other advertising company and take this company's clients with her. The company has just landed a big account with a mustard company, and though she deserves to be part of the team that works on this account, Kate is excluded because of her boss' skepticism about her personal future. Kate's friend and colleague at the company gets a hold of a Polaroid picture that Kate took with Nick, the camera man at a friend's wedding, and passes him off as her fiancé in front of the boss in order to get Kate put on the team. Though she's hesitant, Kate goes along with this, and everything seems to be going well until the boss asks her to invite her fiancé to have dinner with him and his wife. Kate meets with Nick and convinces him to come have dinner with her boss and pretend that he's her fiancé. Nick decides to help her out by playing along with this charade, but in the process, he develops feelings for Kate which he hopes she will reciprocate. There's also a subplot involving another fellow colleague named Sam (Kevin Bacon) who Kate is smitten with. Though she's dropped plenty of hints about wanting to date him, Sam is only attracted to "bad girls," and Kate doesn't quite fit the bill. Kate also uses this charade to seduce Sam, and though she succeeds, he doesn't turn up to be what she thought he'd be. I think that "Friends" is one of the greatest sitcoms ever made, and I love all the actors on that show. However, none of them have ever had any great success on the big screen, and this movie gets through right into the pile of movie flops by those six loveable actors on the show. There are a few mildly funny spots here and there, but not enough to warrant the purchase of this DVD. If you're curious, I recommend you go and rent this movie, but it's definitely not worth the price of buying it.

Jennifer Aniston is the best in this movie!!! Its sooo cute I can never get tired of it!! Its about a woman, Kate who pretends to be engaged with a man, Nick, she doesnt know whom she met at a friend's wedding. With this lie she finally gets a promotion she deserves and an eye of a man who just started to notice her. Soon later he gets famous by saving a little girl and her boss and the people she works with wanted to meet with him. After spending much time with him he falls for her, but all she wants to do is break up with him. Soon after he leaves and she ends up missing him and realizes that she loves him... A GREAT movie!! This is a really cute movie. Jennifer Aniston is pretty good in it, but I must say that Jay Mohr is so adorable in this movie, how can any girl not fall in love with him. A good movie for a 1st date or with your loved one. :)
