Just wanted to say that contacting Fox at FoxDrop@4icc.com is legit. Fox did send me a copy of the 6th disc. I emailed them on Feb 12; asked them if it would be a problem sending a disc to me in Canada, despite the fact that their site said they serviced US customers only. I got a response from them on Feb 13, simply asking me for my address and saying that they'll send the disc out. I received the disc on Feb 22. They never even asked me to mail them back the defective disc or for anything else.

Considering that Season 2 is the only season with an abnormal 25 episodes, hopefully we won't have to worry about the same thing again.

It boggles my mind why Fox hasn't done a product recall on this box set (episode 25, as others have mentioned, is missing from this set).

I ordered mine on Amazon on April 10, 2006, and it included Anasazi (Episode 25). So hopefully all the box sets are fixed.

The second season set is missing the final episode of the season "Anasazi".

I have been told that if you contact Fox at foxdrop@4icc.com that they will send you a replacement.

The X-FILES Season 2 DVD box set is missing the last episode (Anasazi).

The problem is this: these are "bargain" release box sets. They are the exact same release as the previous box sets but the special features DVD has been removed to offer the set at a lower price, so all you get are 4 DVD's per season with 4 episodes on each DVD's.

Now, season 2 had 25 episodes, not 24 like the other seasons. Some genius at Fox forgot about this so that 25th episode was dropped along all the special features!

I don't know what will happen, will Fox fix this or will this cheap version always contain 24 episodes with some kind of warning label...

On a technical note, this release is the exact same version as before which means the video quality is simply ATROCIOUS. Seriously, I can encode better quality MPEG2 on my home computer than the professionals who did this transfers. The amount of compression artifacts and noise is truly terrible, much worse than even the Blade Runner DVD. Unfortunately, that's all we have for now, but we should all petition Fox to have the 35mm masters rescanned and re-encoded for a 15th anniversary release (2008)

I loaded my Season 4, Disc 1 and found it is not what is labeled - I got the recent remake of "Planet of the Apes"! I contacted FoxDrop <FoxDrop@4icc.com> and they're telling me because it has been years since I purchased the seasonal box set (did they expect me to sit and watch every episode after having just bought the box?), they are not willing to replace it. I have escalated and am being told that my request is going to the corporate office. Will keep you posted!

UPDATE: Feb 2
FoxDrop <FoxDrop@4icc.com> is refusing to replace the DVD and refusing to allow me to contact the Corporate office or a supervisor. I am aggravated and frustrated with the circumstances. It probably doesn't cost them much to ship out one simple DVD as a replacement for a production mistake, but they continue to refuse doing so.

I just received X-Files Season 2 (the bargain dvd set) and it seems as if the missing episode problem has been solved. Episode 25 is on disc number 6. Hopefully this means that the error has been remedied!

Dvd set missing last episode. Recieved replacement with same problem. Just a big hassle, amazon should send replacement WITH last episode.

I bought all the 9 seasons of "The X Files", the slim pack set from Australian stores , half from Video Ezy and half from BigW. To my dismay I found that disc 7 is missing from the season two pack which means I miss out on the season final 25th Episode "Anasazi" :( . Does nayone know how to contact Fox Interactive in Australia so that I can get my missing 25th Episode ? If you know the contact adress/email/phone numbers please post it below. In the meantime, Australian buyers, please be aware while buying the second season and see if it is missing the 25th Episode or not.

PULL THIS PRODUCT UNTIL THE ERROR IS FIXED!!!
I Will be trying to contact FOX to get a replacement.
