Deltron 3030 OFF THE HOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,
By Dirt Deep Hip Hop Head on Swole (Martinez, California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Deltron 3030 (Audio CD)
Deltron 3030 is an excellent CD with mad vocab (DeltronZ), tight production(The Automator), and smooth turntablism (Kid Koala). This bunch of Hip-Hop super heroes come to bring you a futuristic sound that can't be fazed with a photon blaster. With 12 songs filled with the Funkee Homosapien and 9 skits that are off the hook. How can you go wrong with this team up with fat songs like 3030,and with extremely potent vocals is Sean Lennon featured on Memory Loss.If you ask me one of my favorite songs on the whole Cd is definetly #12 Madness with dope lyrics nice smooth beat hooked up by the Automator and a hook that will have you singing it within a couple times of listening. Overall I would have to say this CD is a must pick up If your an Avid Del fan, you also like the laced beats of the Automator, and the smoooth scratches by the Kid Koala. You will definetly like this CD so go get out of here pick it up right now NUFF said. Peace out HIERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Peace to Kwantum Physics, And Trans 1NE watch out for this album.

A Gift From The Future,

In all honesty, I have not heard a better hip hop album than Deltron 3030. The more and more I listen to it, the more and more I fall in love with it. What sets this one apart from the rest is the production. Koala and Automator shine together, created rhythms and beats that sound like no other. The album kicks off with a bang with the hip hop symphony, 3030. The rest progresses perfectly, with not one track out of place. There is not a slouch in the bunch, but I do have my favorites. 3030 and Mastermind, oh wait, also Madness, oh wait, there's also Virus, oh wait.... just buy the album, you won't be sorry! And Del The Funky Homosapien kills it, as usual. Were there any doubts in your mind?

Welcome to the Future of Hip Hop,
This review is from: Deltron 3030 (Audio CD)
'Deltron 3030' is an innovative undertaking by rapper Del the Funky Homosapien, producer Dan the Automator, and DJ Kid Koala. With futuristic production and skillful lyricism, 'Deltron 3030' tells of a post-apocalyptic world in the year 3030. This CD is by no means commercial with its lack of hooks (most verses are met with simple repeated samples and/or scratching) and its offbeat lyrical content. There are some great tracks like 'Mastermind', 'Madness', '3030', and 'Madness'. However this CD is weighted down by a whopping nine skits that follow the futuristic theme of the CD. Personally, I never find skits groundbreaking or even necessary to a project so it definitely prevents me from putting this in my CD player and listening from cover to cover without skipping. Nothing profound is said by Del, and I am more attracted to how he says it (he flows very well with the beats) rather than what he says. However, I would recommend 'Deltron 3030' for any hip hop fan who is looking for something different because this is definitely a memorable album. (4/5 mics)

Good. Not necessarily a classic, though,

I liked the style that Del used in the hit "Clint Eastwood" on the Gorillaz album, so I looked for more of his work. Among several solo works, as well as other collaborations with Dan The Automator, I found this.Deltron 3030 is a pretty good album with great lyricism and wordplay, as well as interesting production. However, when I say "interesting", I don't always mean in a good way. There are some slip-ups - "Virus" and "Battlesong" aren't very good songs. Also, in many of the songs, there aren't great choruses. Some don't have choruses, at all. Also, for a concept album, this album isn't very conceptual. Many of the tracks merely have Del bragging about what a good rapper he is, replacing talk of guns and such with talk of laser pistols and other futuristic gadgets. Still, despite it's flaws, it's a good album. The opening track (the one after the intro) is great, and really reminds you of authentic sci-fi, which I assume is what they were trying for. The best song on the is (in my opinion) "Time Keeps On Slipping", featuring Damon Albarn, the singer from Blur, as well as a collaborator on the Gorillaz album. So, summarizing it all up, this is a good album, but it may not be the epic that they were trying for. Worth a listen.

After waiting for over a month to get this cd it finally came in, I gave it a few listens through and it was well worth the wait. The beats are tight and original giving a futuristic sound, and dels second to none rhyming produces an album that surpasses any commercial disc you are likely to hear in this lifetime. This is hip-hop.

This album is just unadulteratedly genius. First of all, there is just Del's incredibly satisfying voice. Just hearing his voice is like drinking a tall glass of ice cold water. You just feel refreshed after hearing his voice, and that experience, combined with his smooth, creative flows, is glorious. His rhymes stand out so much because he doesn't just throw obvious, insipid rhymes together. He uses polysyllabic words that fit together like a complex jigsaw puzzle sliding into place. And the way he accents and emphasizes exactly the right syllables takes full advantage of the quality beats of every track. And of course there is the brilliant work of Dan the Automator that enhances the entire album. The bottom line is that this album is ridiculously original, and energetic and laid back at the same time, leaving the listener satisfied, yet wanting more.

This is one of the most innovative CD's that i've ever heard. The beats, they give me goose bumps, and the lyrics are so mind blowing that I repeated tracks over and over. Oh why, oh why, did I go through my life without this CD. Dan, Del, and Koala make a perfect producing team and the output shows. Really, this album is perfect. All the songs are excellent and the skits are very funny. If you are into any kind of underground then it is mandatory that you buy this CD...now!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright... What do you get when you combine one of the most lyrically creative emcees, quite possibly the best experimental hip-hop producers ever, and one of the most dexterous djs to ever cut wax? Deltron 3030 baby. Who else could pull off a sci-fi hip-hop concept album so slick it hurts? Del's cut loose and flexed his rhymes, cementing his seat in the Pantheon of hip-hop storytelling. The Automator, as always, lay's down some amazingly sick beats and wild samples, every track flowing comfortably and complementary along Del's lyrics. Adding the final touches is Kid Koala, cutting vinyl like a hip-hop samurai. It don't get any better than this kids! If you love hip-hop, buy this album. If you don't like hip-hop, buy this album anyways. You might learn to love it.

This is one of my favorite CD's. It is one of those CD's that you can just leave in the player and never have to skip any tracks because they are all good. And the beats that The Automator and Kid Koala make on it are sick!
