5.0 out of 5 stars Oldeander - Bruise
I agree that this is a great album and has some great tunes on. But in my opionon it needed two more songs: In Too Deep - Sum 41, Bruise - Oldeander. In Too Deep is easy to find, just look for "All Killer, No Filler", Bruise you cant rly find anywhere so i've uploaded it onto eSnips (Search for Ranooth and check my folders). Enjoy!

3.0 out of 5 stars Missing A Lot of Great Music; I Have Full Version Of Bruise
What were the people who put the soundtrack together thinking? Maybe they weren't. If you're going to use the songs in the movie, you better include them on the soundtrack. There were a lot of songs used in the movie but the best of the best were left off the soundtrack; go figure. I was disappointed to say the least. Some of the standout tracks not on the CD are...

3.0 out of 5 stars Missing A Lot of Great Music; I Have Full Version Of Bruise, Jun 24 2003

What were the people who put the soundtrack together thinking? Maybe they weren't. If you're going to use the songs in the movie, you better include them on the soundtrack. There were a lot of songs used in the movie but the best of the best were left off the soundtrack; go figure. I was disappointed to say the least. Some of the standout tracks not on the CD are "Last Time Again" by Lit, "Everywhere" by Michelle Branch, "In Too Deep" by Sum 41, and my favorite, "Bruise" by Oleander. "Bruise" by Oleander is a rare "B" side which is why no one can find it on any of Oleander's albums. If you want the song "Bruise" by Oleander in it's entirety in MP3 format, ...I hope this helps any of you looking for these songs!

This is my fave of the PIE soundtacks (just) but even so they still managed to miss off 5 of the best songs, including the near impossible to find (MP3 only) "Bruise" by Oleander.

They should really bring out another AP2 soundtrack - all the great songs they missed the first time around - there are about 14 song I would buy it.

4.0 out of 5 stars I would rate it five, but I can't get past the missing songs, Nov 2 2003
By
This review is from: American Pie 2 (Audio CD)
The title says it all. The songs on here were great but there was just too much missing for me to want to give it the big five. But it's a great one to play at a party or listen to on a boring day in clsas. The songs missing that I really missed were:

Lemmonheads-"Mrs. Robinson"
Offspring-"Want You Bad"
James-"Laid" (the cover by Matt Nathanson is on the 'Wedding' soundtrack. I like Matt's version better.)
Sum41-"In Too Deep"
Michelle Branch-"Everywhere"

I'm not sure the titles, but the song that played while Finch is painting on the balcony and the song that playes in the 'morning after' montage... what were those ones? I looked for them, but...
Anyway, here's a review of what was actually ON this one.

EVERYTIME I LOOK FOR YOU - 5/5 This one is a great fast-paced song that is perfect to open the soundtrack.
SCUMBAG - 5/5 This song is so addictive, I just wish it were longer.
BRING YOU DOWN - 2/5 Meh. The exact same as the first two and it gets a little unoriginal.
VERTIGO - 5/5 One of my favourite songs ever by one of my favourite bands ever. Once again, I wish it were longer.
SPLIT THIS ROOM IN HALF - 5/5 I think this song his crazily hilarious! Nice to see something differentish from Uncle Kracker.
BE LIKE THAT - 5/5 My friends and I all love this song. It's so catchy.
GOOD FOR A WOMAN - 4.5/5 It's pretty good, a little less heavy than I'm used to, but, waddaya gonna do?
ALWAYS GETTING OVER YOU - 4/5 Considering this is a ballad, that's a damn good rating. Sorry, it's too pop for this soundtrack, but I still like it.
CHEATING - 3/5 It's fine, but after you hear it twice it gets annoying, especially the guy's voice.
SMOKESCREEN - 5/5 Well, it's just good, do I really need to go over my word limit explaining why?
PHEOBE CATES - 5/5 See above
SUSAN - 1/5 Sorry, I just don't like it.
FAT LIP - 4/5 Back when this soundtrack came out it would have been 5/5, but I've heard it too much since then to like it anymore.
I WILL - 3/5 Mixed feelings on this one. Can't explain.
HALO - 5/5 The 2nd best song on this soundtrack (1st being Vertigo) and I like it because it's soft AND hard.

If you want Alternative, get AP1. If you like Punk, get AP2. If you are like me and like both, either get both or download 'em. It's easier because then you can get every song on the same CD.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as Good as the First, Oct 15 2003

I loved both the American Pie 1 and the American Wedding soundtrack. I was disappointed with this one, as it didn't seem to have the mood the other two did. It's decent, but not repeat-worthy.

2.0 out of 5 stars all is fair in pop and war, Aug 19 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: American Pie 2 (Audio CD)
To be fair to the people that peddle this stuff out to the masses - they wanted to give you something you would buy. Why people who are asking for Smooth Criminal and Everywhere didn't turn on MTV 3 months ago is beyond me. But, there have been a lot of questions regarding the missing songs, yet none have address the main issue - Joseph Arthur. Towards the end of the movie - the song that starts "Don't know why I'm still afraid If you weren't real I would make you up" and the chorus goes "But right now Everything is turning blue, And right now The sun is trying to kill the moon" when it's just Jim and Michelle is called "Honey and the Moon" and is on the album "Redemption's Son" PLEASE check it out if you are tired of all the same over processed baloney music. Is raw, intelligent, and was somehow overlooked on the soundtrack. No disses to anyone else's taste's, but the only reason why I even looked up this soundtrack was to see if J A was on it. I had NO idea so much else was overlooked. I also vote for an American Wedding 2 soundtrack.

I searched high and low and found the "I feel fantastic, boombastic...song" that was playing after Bridget was walking home from work on her birthday to cook her friend the blue soup.
It's called "Woman Trouble" by Artful Dodger. ENJOY!
