5.0 out of 5 stars Good CD for a DECEMBER 2000 HIT ( man its old)

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but not great
In all fairness, I'd like to disclose up front that I am a big Tiesto fan therefore my opinions might not be fully impartial. In my opinion, many of Tiesto's previous works deserve the full five star treatment. However, I truly felt that this album came short when compared to other Tiesto mixes like the Magik series and especially "In Search of Sunrise I." As...

Enlightenment is all I can say about this amazing DJ from Holland. He threw down one of the most ridiculous mixes of trance anthems ive heard yet. This mix is essential to any trance junkie like myself!

5.0 out of 5 stars Why I listen to Trance, Jan 23 2003
By
I first heard this CD at the University of Rochester and ever since all i have listened to is trance. Tiesto has become my favorite DJ because although some of his sets have tracks you've heard before he'll play something that is completely new and etheral that will blow you away. This CD is either a chill out session at its best or a melodic encouragement to dance based upon how one feels at the time. It can be taken either way and that's what makes ISoS 2 so great.

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME, Mar 20 2002
Was surprised that when bought it actually turned out to be dance-music. First heard it (very softly) while on a visit with a very good friend (wine, long conversation) and got the impression it is very loungy. Actually it is both; it is so beautifully composed that it's very relaxing when played soft. If you make your amplifier do what it was made for it is one of the best dance-tracks I know.

This album is very good emotional, progressive trance. Very easy to move to, very easy to get lost in, very good track selection and mixing, but ISOS 1 is better.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but not great, July 27 2001

In my opinion, many of Tiesto's previous works deserve the full five star treatment. However, I truly felt that this album came short when compared to other Tiesto mixes like the Magik series and especially "In Search of Sunrise I." As usual, Tiesto's mixing skills are way off the charts. He weaves the tracks together seamlessly. But the track selection in this album was not as good as previous works. That's not to say that this album is total junk. In fact, there's some very good tracks in it. But somehow, the whole thing doesn't fall together neatly. Regardless, I would recommend this album to those who appreciate awesome mixing as much as the track selection like I do. Here is my breakdown: Mixing: 10/10 (as usual for Tiesto) Track selection: 7/10 Sequencing: 10/10 Overall: ((10+7+10)/3))/10 = 9/10

5.0 out of 5 stars More Tiesto Magik!, July 11 2001

The fist time I listened to this CD, I did not like it because I scanned through the songs without hearing the CD whole in one session. When I then listened to it whole 2 months later, I was completely amazed. This is what trance is meant to be, in my opinion anyway. This album flows together through fantastic mixing like I have never heard before. My favorite songs are Salt Tank's "Eugina", Mekka's "Diamondback," and the best song, Coast2Coast's "Home." I cannot underscore the mixing and style on this CD, it is downright unbelievable. Yes, it is slower and more mellow trance but still quite dancable. Very dreamy. Any trance fan will love it.
