Set in 1899 New York the Newsies sell papers nothing goes wrong until when Weasel (A.K.A) Wisley raises the papers prices with Pulitzer as his leader the Newsboys do not realize what they were getting into .Of course the fearless leader Jack Kelly (Christian Bale) decided too lead a strike against the opposing printing press with the help of David (David Moscow) Les (Luke Edwards)Racetrack (Max Casella ) Mush (Aaron Lohr) and of course the one that everyone has at least a crush story on Spot (Gabriel Damon )Jack has nothing too loose .Later on Crutchy accidentally told Snyder about Jack he quickly got out of the room .Pulitzer commanded that the Newsies be arrested at the rally .Though some of the boys were in for a surpise after performing the very fun song High Times ,Hard times .The cops set a whole mess in Irving Hall Racetrack got knocked out cold ,Itey got beaten and some other Newsies made it out though Jack was carried out of there by the police .He soon was arrested and luckily David got Jack out but still he went back the very next day the Newsies discovered that Jack sold them out too become a scabber.The boys were filled with great rage ,though Jack realized that he was stupid too become one of Pulitzer's men so with the help of Detten they printed a newspaper and ended the the strike Once And For All ! The songs and choregraphy are just perfect couldn't have been better .Still I do have a little crush on Racetrack I think he is the [cutest] boy on that tape ,and he sings perfectly .Though I think Bill Pullman didn't sing so great he was good though a little weak .Now Davie he was excellent in Seize The Day I couldn't even tell it was him .The whole movie is good not much thilfy langugage ,and the violence wasn't that bad you have too admit .I love everything about this movie remember Carrying The Banner .This is one of disney's top classics and I am very very glad too hear that .

If i wanted to sound different than all the other people (mainly girls) that are writing reviews like this, I just cant. I wish i could be differnt by saying that i hate it, but this is the best movie ever. I got it in the mail just 5 hours ago, and i already went through the movie and the extra material. Now i'm ordering the soundtrack!! I decided to order it when i started singing "King of New York" while brushing my teeth!! The songs are addictive, the dancing is awsome, and the acting is great (dont get me started on the rest of why i like it..*sigh*). I cant get enough of this show!! David and Spot are my favorites!You should really buy it!!

Well, if you didn't already read my title NEWSIES IS THE BEST! And I love it. It's a great story about friendship and sticking up for what you believe in. Plus, it's Christian Bale and David Moscow...how can you go wrong with those two! I love the singing and dancing too. If you love the music as much as I did I suggest you buy the soundtrack because it's awesome! I'm telling you girls, if you have a bad day, pop this movie in and watch it. I mean it's a bunch of cute boys singing and dancing...it works everytime. I recomend this movie to anyone who likes musicals, boys, and great Disney magic. Watch it...trust me. It's probably one of my favorites movies of all time! If your cool you won't regret it.

I love the Newsies....if your into musical's this is a must see!

This is my favorite movie of all time!It's very fun to watch and, until I saw Newsies, I really wasn't sure about how good boys could dance!haha!It has great musical numbers and a great cast.I watch it at least once a week!Also, I have a huge crush on Gabriel Damon!haha!My favorite character though, is Racetrack, played by Max Casella.Overall, this is a great movie and it's really great to watch with your family.

Newsies a a great movie in every aspect. It has great acting in all but the adult roles, a wonderful score, great dancing with such featured dancers as Christian Bale, Aaron Lohr, and Trey Parker, and a realistic plot.
You can't possibly watch this movie without becoming obsessed with it. Even the flaws (like David Moscow's dancing!) seem great.

OK. If you don't like this movie, u jus a freak! C'mon! it's the best movie eva! (ok maybe not, but it the best musical) no honestly, if u r a teen an u like guys ya GOTTA watch it! there's hott guys, it's very amusing, the songs r catchy, and it can even help you on achievenemt tests! it helped me, honestly, there was a q that i NEVA would have known if i hadn't seen the mo-v. And it's not JUST 4 chicks. i hav a friend, and her boyufriend LOVES it! he knows, all the songs and watches it jus about every day!
Seriously. Watch it!. Just once! If ya don't like it, well, i'm sorry, you're jus missin out on a lot.

HOlla!!! the newsies was the best musical ever!!!! i loved it so much! iF you haven't seen it yet, see it right away!! I thought it was unnecassary for the girl to kiss him in the end cuz she hardly saw him the whole movie. and she only sang one line in the whole movie!!!! well besides that, i loved the movie and i am planning on doing it as a show in a few years. well buy the dvd as soon as possible and the soundtrack(you will hear them singing in your head while your sleeping) cyaz!!!

This is a great performance from a professional kid actors! The accents are authentic enough. A great watch. You'll be singing for days...and not just in the shower!!!
