4.0 out of 5 stars Classic!
C'mon you gotta love 'em! Chevy and Goldie in their heyday. (The only thing that has always bothered me about this movie is the obviously fake cow at the end!) Neil Simon rocks!

3.0 out of 5 stars funny
Funny movie with an entertaining plot. Although not as funny and entertaining as "Foul Play", it is still a good movie and among my favorite comedies. Also note that it does not have the extra dimension of suspense that "Foul Play" has.

4.0 out of 5 stars A classic Hawn-Chase comedy flick..., Sep 5 2002
This review is from: Seems Like Old Times (DVD)
Goldie Hawn & Chevy Chase who previously were together in "Foul Play" reunite again in this classic Neil Simon movie "Seems Like Old Times". Chase gets mixed up in a robbery gone wrong and hes no longer wanted by his allegged accompliances and is dumped along side a highway while the car is in motion. Anyway Chase hides out and seeks the help of who else, his ex played by Goldie Hawn. But wait! Hawn is happily married to Charles Grodin who happens to pratice law cause Chase is wanted by the law. A lot of complications arise and Chase who is innocent needs Hawn's help very bad to clear his name.

1.0 out of 5 stars Must have missed something., Mar 20 2000
This review is from: Seems Like Old Times (VHS Tape)
Caught bits and pieces of this on TV and rented the video. Waste of time. Goldie Hawn was annoying, Charles Grodin was inconsequential, and Chevy Chase was, well, Chevy Chase. As a dog lover, I found the only entertaining parts were when the dogs were involved. Sadly, that wasn't often enough. The high reviews come as a surprise.

1.0 out of 5 stars Still Waiting......, April 4 2011
This review is from: Seems Like Old Times (DVD)
I am STILL WAITING . I left a review March 24 when my order placed March 3 had not yet arrived. To date the status of my order remains, "shipped between March 15 and March 21". I still have not received my DVD, over a month later. I will never ever choose this company to use for my Amazon purchases again. I read all of the feedback, pages and pages of it, and I cannot believe that Amazon still uses this company! If I had known that Moviemars Canada was not in fact in CANADA I would not have used them in the first place. If I could have rated this company in the - stars I would have. Buyer beware!
Guess I will go and check the mailbox AGAIN.
PS I ordered another set of DVD's from Amazon, shipped by Amazon and they arrived today, and, Oh Yeah, I ordered them 5 days ago!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Charming But I Think Foul Play Should Be on DVD Too!, Oct 28 2003
This review is from: Seems Like Old Times (DVD)
Seems Like Old Times is a cute movie, it's quite funny and stars Chevy Chase and Goldie Hawn from Foul Play. It is a modern screwball comedy about a man played by Chevy Chase who gets mixed up in a robbery and tries to get his ex wife played by Goldie Hawn who is a lawyer to help him and he winds up hiding in her and her stuffy new husband's (Charles Grodin) house. Besides Chase, Hawn and Groden, I also liked Yvonne Wilder, the actress who played the housekeeper, she was great! I'm happy this is available on DVD and I will be buying it but I wonder why this is available on DVD and Foul Play isn't. Foul Play was their first movie together and was an even bigger hit in the box office, but anyway I highly recommend the very charming Seems Like Old Times and hope that the even more charming Foul Play becomes available on DVD Too!

Wow, what is up with the sound not being remastered? Thats a given these days. The soundtrack sounds as though it was recorded in a bathroom... of a bunker... one mile below sea level... with my old radioshaq tapedeck. Ok, maybe it ain't that bad, but it does have a very "small" sound. Aside from that, the picture transfer is quite good. As for the movie itself, my memory of it was kinder. The movie is in high-gear as long as Chevy is on screen, take him out and what you are left with are a lot of wisecracks that could have used laughtracks, then someone would at least be laughing. Let me conclude this by saying, the soundtrack itself stands up well for a 1980 movie but the technology of the time hinders it greatly.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Can't Miss Comedy!, July 10 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Seems Like Old Times (DVD)
This has always been one of my favorites! If you're a Neil Simon fan, it's one of his best! A combo of slapstick and witty puns..."She's not outside eating chicken, that's for sure!"

This is a hilarious movie.... The timing of the lines are just perfect.. This is before Chevy Chase became dumb and Charles Grodin became annoying... NEIL SIMON is a comic genious.... It's full on 70's and just a hilarious movie from start to finish..
