When I walked into this movie I wasnt expecting much other then a typical teen movie. What I got was something much more then that. This was about peoples lives and how they deal with things we face in everyday life. Britney Spears does a great job in her first starring role. She makes the role so convincing that you think she is acually going through it in real life. This movie is really great and I think everyone should at least rent the movie to see how great it really is. Crossroads is a great movie for everyone and Britney does a great job in it! Five Stars.

Britney Spears seems to be following in Madonna's footsteps, but in her own unique way. Back in 1983 and 1984, Madonna became the freshest voice in music by releasing her first two albums. In 1985, Madonna became the freshest face in movies by starring in her first movie, DESPERATELY SEEKING SUSAN. Britney Spears in going down the same path. In 1999, Britney became the freshest voice in music and now's she become the freshest face in movies. This is her first starring role in a major film.

Three ten year old girls named LUCY (Britney Spears), KIT (Zoe Saldana), and MIMI (Taryn Manning) had gotten a box and each put a wish into the box. They buried the box with the intention of digging it up on Midnight on the night of their High School graduation. LUCY put a locket in the box. The locket contained a picture of her and her mother. LUCY wished to find her mother. MIMI put in a keychain. The charm was a globe. MIMI wished to get out and see the world. KIT put in her Bride Barbie. KIT wished to become a bride. They vowed to be best friends forever, but unfortunately, that never happened.

Eight years later, it is the dawn of their high school graduation. LUCY is a quiet person who wants get out and fun. She's very quiet because her father is been so overprotective in order to keep her from making the same mistake her mother made. MIMI is at times insecure, but very outgoing. She has enough street smarts to know what the world is like. She needs to be this way because she is now six months pregnant. This happened over Christmas Break. Her boyfriend blew her off just so he can hang out with his friends. MIMI had more than a few beers and a seemingly nice guy with a blue beer bottle offered her a ride home. The ride he had in mind was a bump in the back seat with MIMI. KIT is a very prissy, feminine girl, who happens to be the most popular in the whole school. MIMI seems to be the only one who wants to dig up the box. LUCY would have but has "plans" with her prom date, HENRY (played by Justin Long). KIT chooses not to go because she's too mature to do something childish. MIMI sets out on her own only to find KIT with a shovel. They both go looking for the spot until they find LUCY. They dig up the box and find their wishes. KIT's wish was to be a bride and her wish will be coming true. She's marrying her boyfriend Dylan. LUCY finds her wish and is still not sure if it's coming true yet. Her wish was to find her mother. MIMI finds her wish. Her wish was to see the world. Being that she's pregnant, LUCY and KIT don't think it will be coming true for awhile, but MIMI's going to make it happen. She gives the two a magazine article. It's an add for auditions for a record company in LA. MIMI asks LUCY and KIT to join her. KIT only goes so she could see DYLAN. LUCY goes along only to be dropped off in TUSCAN, ARIZONA so she could see her mother. They get a ride with BEN (ANSON MOUNT).

By the third day, the car breaks down. KIT and MIMI become very bitter with each other, but MIMI's idea was the last chance the three had to becoming best friends again. They joined for a karaoke contest. Their performance of I LOVE ROCK 'N ROLL paid them enough money for the car and the trip. That night, the three became best friends again.

They reached ARIZONA and let LUCY off in front of the house that belonged to her mother, CAROLINE (played by KIM CATRELL). Shocked to see her, Caroline invites LUCY in only to break her heart. Caroline said that she never wanted Lucy and that her father made her give birth. Lucy was just a mistake. So, she leaves and rejoins her friends.

I will not give away the rest. But this a movie that should be viewed by everybody. It goes to show you that dreams may change, but friends are forever and beyond. Watch this and prepare to be amazed at how a friendship goes from being great to bad to unbelievably unbreakable.

Crossroads, 3 women kit mimi and lucy travel on the road to go auditioning in a singing concert. The man who drives them is britneys love,[in the film].

i went and seen this on opening day and went back 4 more times to watch it. britney spears did good acting on her first film and praying not the last. you will feel the friendly bond between mimi,kit,and lucy. this movie is special in so many ways. this movie will make you cry and laugh so buy this movie today and go on the road trip of a lifetime.

I am not a Teen but I am a fan Of Miss Spears and Im very fund from her preformance in this Movie I think its just the beginning for her she is a very talented young lady and I think it showed alot in this movie!
If you like a Movie that gives you a good feelling get this Movie cause its one of the best!

this is Britney Spears first feature film...dreadful..I gave it a BOMB...dreadful is the only word for this movie..Britney Spears can act...boo hoo..there's better actresses/singers then her...and I know we get to she her in her underwear but whats the deal yo...a great waste of my time..whoever made this should be shot

When I heard that Britney Spears was going to star in this movie, I immediately made it a priority to see it. Britney isn't as good an actress as Nicole Kidman or Halle Berry, but she's getting there. She delivers a bold and fearless performance everyone will be talking about for ages. The screenplay is well written and has some of the best dialogue in any film since "Titanic." If you're looking for a powerful tale that will leave you breathless, then check out this masterpiece. You will NOT be disappointed.

I was a little surprised, this is a pretty good movie. My daughter is Britneys #1 fan & she loves this movie. This movie is sooo much better than From Justin to Kelly (which was poorly made). This movie is well made & a must have for any Britney fan!!

This movie is a way to make Britney Spears popular again. For all of you people who liked this movie and thought it was 5/5 material ... good for you and I just want to say: I'm trying not to offend anybody reading this review. So if your easily offended read no further.

When I watched this movie I couldn't believe it. It was worse then I thought. This movie had a sense of fun into it, no doubt about that but it was fake and "fluffy" trying to make a "deep down moral to the story" when all it did was really nothing. A garbage movie that had a pretty bad script and could of done a little more with the plot ...

This is a chick flick definetly. See it with your friends (I'm sure seeing it once is enough) and just try and have a good time but when someone asks you how the movie was you'll end up saying "It was OK." like any other average movie except this might be a bit lower then that.

Britney Spears is actually trying to have her precious "fame" again. And its not really working right now. OK, I'm trying to be nice but if I like Britney Spears and want her CD I have to like the songs not because she was in some chick flick that was really bad. So, Britney if I like your songs I'll buy your CD. Simple as that.

This type of movie is the one that trys to make a "deep impression on you" but ends up leaving nothing (as was mentioned earlier). Lame storyline - acting to best ability (not sayings its bad!!) ... um ....

Overall: Pretty bad. See it once and never speak of it again.

In recent years, there have been many bad teen movies made. But Crossroads, along with 10 Things I Hate About You, Clueless, and Bring It On is one of the best ones in recent years. Britney Spears may have been the only reason it managed to attract an audience, but even non-fans could probably find something to like about it.

The basic story is of three girls who are best friends as little kids and end up drifting apart by the time they graduate high school. On a whim, they all decide to take a road trip together, along with a strange guy who may or may not be a murderer. Throughout the movie, they find out things they never would have thought were true, and become the friends they never thought they would be again. It's a simple non-complex movie, but a sweet movie that actually rings true to people in many ways. It deals with things such as sexuality, broken hearts, and following your own path.

Taryn Manning and Zoe Saldana, who play Britney's best friends, show they have a lot of acting talent and will be a force to be reckoned with sooner than later. As far as Britney goes, she isn't exactly what you would call a good actress, but she isn't torture to watch the way Mariah Carey is. Nonetheless, she gives a respectable performance, as flawed as it may be. And ironically, she is the least interesting character of them all.

This movie is a very good one, and will surely tug at your heartstrings. No, it isn't exactly oscar-worthy, but it is still a very entertaining, well-written, and fairly well-made movie.
