4.0 out of 5 stars Great little book holder
I bought two of these in one go given its low cost and portability. This works well. The only downside is that it can only hold a novel and not a thick text book.

2.0 out of 5 stars Its functional?
This product is satisfactory for anything less than 1.5 inch thickness. Its unable to hold up many of my university books, not even textbooks, but paperback small books.

Its okay in the sense that if I had a photocopied course package, I could use this for that purpose.

Other than that, its functional and satisfactory.

This review is from: Fellowes Wire Study Stand-Silver (10024) (Office Product)
This is a really great tool to use in the kitchen or to use while studying although I could not adjust it to fit bigger text books or cook books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Study Stand., Mar 27 2010
This review is from: Fellowes Wire Study Stand-Silver (10024) (Office Product)
Excellent Product and excellent price. I take it with me to the library when I'm taking notes for essays. It's light enough to carry around, and it is amazing! I recommend it to everyone in university, or a job position which requires note taking :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Wire Study Stand - great as an iPad stand, Aug 24 2010
This review is from: Fellowes Wire Study Stand-Silver (10024) (Office Product)
I purchased this stand to try out with my iPad when sharing photos, movies or any app. You can use it folded in two ways. As shown in the Amazon picture, and reversed, folded inside out, so that the two wired uprights don't interfere with the iPad's screen. It's very stable in both placements. The rubber grommets keep the stand solidly on any surface and while protecting it. The stand lays flat for superior portability. It is recommended that the iPhone be used on the stand with the iPad in a protective case, or shell, just in case the bottom of the iPad scrapes the stand, although I have not had an issue with this for over a month now.

If you really want to make sure to protect the bottom of the iPad, you can go to the electrical department of a hardware store and purchase a plastic sleeve made in the form of a straw. Wrap it around the exposed wire that touches the iPad. Then use a hair dryer to heat the sleeve. Its made to shrink around the wire, as intended for its original use to shrink around electrical wires.
