I have a downloading confession to make - but I hope you'll all agree that it has a happy ending for all involved. I first heard of Tegan and Sara by downloading "Monday, Monday, Monday" after seeing the last 5 seconds of them on a local CBC show and thinking that they were a cool duo (I was in my "chicks with guitars" phase...

Then I downloaded "Living Room" after seeing it was on the list of songs to vote for on Much More Music's website (for their top 10). I'd never seen the video, so I downloaded it too. I was starting to be impressed by their fresh sound compared to the over-produced pop on the airwaves today. Not just with the singing and musicianship, but the smart lyrics and original music. I soon found myself downloading "I Want to be Bad" and was officially hooked.

Thus began my search for Tegan and Sara's website, which led to seeing some of the tour footage and such. I bought the album "If It Was You" soon after from Amazon and am now looking at "This Business of Art". Excellent albums from an excellent example of real music, born from two excellent singer/songwriters who write songs in a genuine way. Not for the crowd, but for themselves - infusing them with a certain honesty that you can't produce with remixing. Their sound? Acoustic driven simplicity with layers of guitars and bass - makes the album more intense each time you listen to it.

My final plea - not all downloaders are thieves; some of us are just looking for some new music that gets drowned out by over-played, over-hyped, pre-fab bands and acts that dominate the airwaves by force of record company execs and not by their sheer talent - I can't even name the number of bands I now follow and of whose CDs I own since downloading some tunes that I heard of in magazines and by word of mouth.

Oh Yeah, check out T&S' new CD - So Jealous... man, these girls know how to rock and are evolving with every step.

Its a really good CD. All the songs are awesome. I had never heard of Tegan and Sara before, but one day on MTV Breakout I saw them. And their songs stuck in my head. So I had to go out and buy the CD and Im glad that I did. :)

hmmmmmmm! if it was you? well i wish!!! tegan and sara have out done themselfs one more time! these girls are brilliant and yet there beautiful minds will take them where they want! these girls might just be in there 20s but the souls are aged! This cd will be loved by young and old. These girls are clever and very smart people by taking there time and setting there own ways, they prove once again to be one of the greatest twin girl band the world will have to face! so purchase the cd you'll never know your missing till you get it! SO KEEP ROCKING TEGAN AND SARA! CAUSE THERE HERE TO STAY!!!!

Finally the wait is over. THEY DID IT!

There is no question that Tegan and Sara are talented musicians.
There live shows are amazing. Well that magic is captured here.
The third alum grows on you like songs of there past .
"time running" , " city girl ", " I hear noises" , "don't confess"
you get lost in playing them over and over .
you might have heard them sing "don't confess " but not the way they do on this album . It is worth buying it just for this song alone .

This is a ablum you must get and you love it more the more you hear it . and that's rare with some of the crap that's out there . This is not a packaged formula .

This is pure artistic expression by making wonderful music . Enjoy!
