5.0 out of 5 stars Eazy-Duz-It Big Time On His First Solo Album, April 7 2003

The main man in N.W.A released this album right after they released their classic sophomore album, "Straight Outta Compton". After I heard this album, Eazy instantly became my favorite rapper. With this album, it was the start of him putting Compton on the map and he represented it till his untimely death in march of 95. Some of the stand out cuts on this album are, "Nobody Move", "Ruthless Villain", "Boyz N Tha Hood (Remix)", Eazy-Duz-It", and "We Want Eazy". All of the tracks are enjoyable to listen to and you won't have to skip any of them if you are a big fan of old school rap or gangsta rap music. The bonus ep they released with the remastered edition, "5150 Home 4 Tha Sick" Eazy released in 92 after N.W.A broke up and he was advertising it for his second solo album "Temporary Insanity" which never got released. The only song I didn't like on this was "Niggaz My Heigh Don't Fight", but the rest is classic. Rest In Peace To The Godfather Of Gangsta Rap!

Eazy's '88 album Eazy-duz-it,basicly shows that Eazy is the greatest mc to ever spit on a mic. "Eazy-Duz-It" has to be one of the greatest songs on this album.Eazy-E's album titled single, and the first single from this album. Each and every song on this album is perfect, but in my opinion, my favorite track is "Merry Muthaf***** Xmas" love the lyrics, love the beats, and the best part about it, is the theme of the song. It has very funny lyrics, and I can't believe that it is not one of Eazy's Singles. There is no reason not to buy this cd, because everything about it is great. Eazy-E's music will always be remembered Rest In Peice Er "Eazy-E" wright

4.0 out of 5 stars Classic westcoast hip-hop, Jan. 21 2003

This review is from: Eazy-Duz-It (Audio CD)
ALL of Eazy Duz It was produced by Dre. And, production wise this record is even better than "Straight Outta Compton." Considering that it came out in 88 or 89, this disc has aged well. It's also common knowledge that Cube wrote all of Eazy's rhymes on Eazy Duz it--that's why Eazy had flow--and when you hear the last four songs, from 92, that Eazy wrote himself, you'll hear that the man needed some help in that department.
The first time I heard this record, I couldn't believe it. It was hard, funny, with unstoppable beats. The summer of 89 in California all you heard bumping from kids trunks was this and "Life is Too $hort." The record is broken up into a "dirty" side, to start, and the "clean" side, side B. They put up the lyrics to the dirty side on Oprah way back then, to show how rappers were all thugs. Nowadays, the lyrics don't seem too bad. I mean, you can't take Eazy E that serious to start with, the man was having fun, and nothing on this record even comes close to sounding as crazy as NWA's EFIL4ZAGGIN.
If you like old school or west coast rap, you've got to have this disc. Definitely an all-time west coast classic.(I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 because the beats are ILLLL, but Eazy-RIP- raps real good, but not great.)

This is a great place to start on Eazy. This record contains a classic (Boyz N Tha Hood) that is definitely better than any modern remixes. It also holds great songs like Eazy Duz it and Eazy-er said than Dunn. Old Skool West Coast beats, including some Dr. Dre
