Awesome,

I first heard the song "everyone" when I was playing MVP Baseball 2003. I went out and got the cd and it was awesome. I don't like a lot of new bands but these guys are a big exception. I love all the songs with "everyone" being my favorite. One more thing, When's their next cd comin' out?

Socialburn makes you wonder, "Where You've Been?",

Like everyone else I've heard "Down" and "Everyone" on the radio. But this album offers more than just the singles. I could picture 80% of this album being played on the radio. It's addictive. Songs like "I'm Happy" and "One More Day" seem almost instantly nostalgic. Like a few other albums from 2003 that can be popped in the CD player and just hit the play button. These guys have found the ingredients for a good album, find your own distinctive sound and then diversify it. The singer does have a Kurt Cobainish sound to him. But who said that grunge like music was bad? There's not much good "Rock" out there with most rock music going the way of the Nu-Metal direction. Which there is nothing wrong with Nu-Metal. Socialburn is a good break from the recent trend. I advise you give the album a few good honest listens before you judge it.

When I first listened to "Down" (their first big single that I know of) I thought it was pretty good, but I was expecting them to be more of a one hit wonder sort of band. I don't know why, mabey because of all the other new bands that had one "Great Song" and then no one ever heard of them again. As the title implies, I was very pleased with this CD. "Down" dosen't do this band credit. Every song on this album has SOMETHING good about it. And some just plain rock altogether ("Ashes" comes to mind). This CD is easily worth your hard earned $$$.

well, i first saw these guys live when they opened for Ra and Seether (both incredible bands) the only reason that I bought socialburn's cd when it was released was because of Utopia, in which the bass play takes over lead vocals for the chorus, and he simply kicks ass. the other good song on this cd is Down, where, even though the vocalist sounds like a Kurt Cobain rehash, is still a pretty good, catchy song. The rest of the album is pretty lame, though, can't lie. The Bassist should either permanently take over lead vocals, or leave this wannabe gurnge band and start something great on his own.

Boys out of Blountstown,

This is one of the best albums out now. If you don't own it buy it. I live about 15 minutes from where these boys grew up and let me tell you they are not the only Tallahassee band your gonna be hearing about. Right now this place is a hot spot for rock music, with bands like Creed and Puddle of Mudd already hailing from here, and now Socialburn is joinging them, but the best is yet to come. Presence has been making alot of noise around here and should be on radio stations all over the country soon. Standstill my personal favorite just released a great debut CD, watch for them to be huge. My advice to you pick up this CD and watchout for all the Tallahassee Boys.

Like many other people who bought Socialburn's CD "Where you are," I had only heard "Down" and "Everyone." Having loved both of these songs, I bought the CD and was in awe of its greatness. Every song has special meaning to it, and i can relate to many of them. I would have to say that my favorite song is "stacy," the last song, because it's so different. I would recommend this CD to anyone who enjoys good music.

The Best CD You Can Buy,

I started to get away from the new rock on the radio, but I heard "Everyone" and bought this CD. It is the best purchase that I've ever made. He sings with such passion that it's the only CD I listen to anymore. I was really hooked when I heard "Never be the Same" and it seemed like he really loved and felt for the person he wrote it for. I'm in love with this band and if you don't buy this, you're missing out on an awesome band.

I usually only write reviews on cds that I like, although I took a chance with this one. I assumed that Where You Are would be pretty [bad], but after borrowing it from a friend and listening to it all the time, I realize how wrong I was.Socialburn is often lumped in with lame bands like Puddle of Mudd and Nickelback, but one main thing separates them from those bands: Good Songs! This is great songwriting, and the inovation of the guitar riffs and pearcing lyrics make this album brilliant. It's like the singer actually feels what he sings ( weird, huh?), and everyone has already wrote on here about how easy it is to relate tho the lyrics, so there's no need to say that again. Pick this up if you like diverse, melodic rock and good songs.

There is a brutal lack of good music these days. These guys buck the trend. Reminds me of Linkin' Park a little--the vocals anyway--but also in the sense this is one of those rare album that is a good listen from the first to the last song. Why the heck can't the music industry get more stuff like this out there?!?!?!?
