I saw the R rated one on Showtime
Well I have to say that the acting, lighting, and all that other technical jargin means nothing to me. I was up late one night and Killing Me Softly came on so I watched it. Lots of T&A!! That makes a movie. And if you liked Heather Graham's nude scenes in Boogie Nights, From Hell, and some other movies she's done you'll love the boobie shots here. And the sex scene, it...

The dialogue must have been rescued from the waste basket of a B movie writer reject. As for satisfying our prurient desires it doesn't rise to the occasion what with the high school amateur acting, ridiculous and predictable plot ... you get my drift. Watch The Weather Channel instead.

And the sex scene, it goes up there with Showgirls infamous pool scene, which also is from the MGM/U.A. studios. Hey all I can say is if you're a perv, you'll enjoy this flick!!

FANTASTIC, Juil 6 2004
This is my new favorite movie! (...) I actaully caught it on Showtime one night, and was mesmerized by the storyline. It was unpredictable, the characters were interesting, and I couldn't stop watching. In fact, I stayed up until 1 am the next morning to watch it again. I'm even considering buying the DVD for a friend. See this movie. It won't disappoint.

Joseph Fiennes is beautiful., Jui 12 2004
Par Un client
Enough about Heather Graham. Yes, she's pretty, but I'm a woman and I couldn't take my eyes off of Joseph Fiennes. Who cares about the plot? If you like Joseph FINE Fiennes, then you need to see this movie. It just may change your sex life. This movie has the best sex scenes I've ever seen. Although, the part when Joseph ties a long sash around Heather's neck while they're doing it was a little too kinky for me, but Joseph is just so amazingly sexy in this movie, so I overlooked that part. WOW-- that's the best word to describe the movie as far as the erotic scenes go. Now, as for the plot, the movie did hold my attention, but it got real cheesy after a while, especially near the end. And they tried to make it this sappy, "Love Story" ending, which really didn't work for me. I just kept wanting to play back the sex scenes and look at Joseph over and over again. That man just rocks my world. Get the DVD if you want to see pure erotic passion at its best-- acted out by Joseph Fiennes, no less. What a MAN!!! Everyone should have the kind of passion in their love relationships that is portrayed in this film.

waste of time, Jui 9 2004
This movie is a reason why I don't go to movie theater anymore. Hollywood should pay me for reviewing this bad movie. Call me my number is 156-38-3461.

only the good parts, Mai 15 2004
Par Un client
I honestly have to say that I didn't even watch the whole movie. Basically, I heard that it was really bad and fast forwarded through the whole DVD till I found the good parts, those being the parts where Heather Graham gets naked. Based on this material, I would have to say that the movie was quite excellent and fulfilled all my expectations. Highly recommended.

NUDITY OVERPOWERS ALL, Avril 12 2004
Boy, does Heather Graham have a great pair of mammary glands. The rest of her body is in no bad shape either. Unfortunately, a naked Heather Graham has the tendency to over power the content of this film. Much like J.D. Salinger's use of profanity in Catch In The Rye diverted his readers' attention away from the actual story so it is here. Which is too bad because this is an interesting suspense story. I should have seen the twist coming a mile away; but I didn't and neither did others I have discussed this movie with. But no matter. This film is condemned to be remembered for a smiling Heather Graham with her naked breasts.

Could be worth watching, with the right viewer's attitude., Avril 11 2004
It is not like any of Chen Kaige's other work. Heather Graham is a bad actress. The attraction between the leads is unconvincing. Some of the lines the characters take so seriously that it's funny. So, yes, if you approach this with the right attitude (i.e., it's not an erotic thriller--it's a comedy), you'll thoroughly enjoy it. It borders on camp in the Showgirls and Flash Gordon tradition. Otherwise, stay away--far, far away. There is a lot of sex, but it's not really that explicit, and it's definitely not exciting. Heather Graham's moans are exaggerated and phony. The humping is unconvincing. (...)

softer than soft...., Mars 3 2004
to be perfectly honest, i really don't know why this film is unrated because the love scenes here are no kinkier nor anymore explicit than anything we've seen anywhere else before. think 9 1/2 weeks or basic instinct & you'll feel a bit cheated to say the very least. having said that, i do believe that heather graham & joseph fiennes have great chemistry together as smome have already mentioned & the film is definately an erotic thriller. is it a good film though? as much as i'd hate to admit it, killing me softly doesn't bring anything new to the surface of psychosexual thrillers even though both graham & fiennes do their best with the soggy script & dialogue they're given. the storyline is basically your average run-of-the mill plot which unravels rather quickly & the majority of it is totally predictable. although chen kaige is a marvelous director worthy of great praise, i don't think even he could make this film anything more than mediocre AT BEST. i will be generous as to give the film three stars for the obvious good performances, the nod to hitchcock's classic film "suspicion", & for chen kaige's attempt to give this tired formula somewhat of a boost. sad to say, the film really deserves no more than 2 1/2 stars altogether. supposedly based on a book by nicci french, i wonder somehow if the book isn't a more entertaining than the adaptation. if you love steamy & passionate thrillers, then i know nothing will stop you from seeing this film but you may want to think twice before purchasing to avoid major disappointments. try renting it from a store other than blockbuster where you see films as they are meant to be. that is, unsanitized & totally uncut. although i can't imagine very much need be trimmed in order to obtain the theatrical r-rating, most people will be interested in seeing killing me softly for the intense love scenes. for a more intellectual thriller with erotic overtones, i suggest & highly recommend in the cut with meg ryan which is a cut above killing me softly.

Oh, brother., Fév 8 2004
Okay, I freely admit to being a heterosexual male who heard that this film (unrated) had a sexually willing Heather Graham in it, and that the story was passable (I hoped). Please, would somebody send me a hormone inhibitor, so that the next time I feel the need to gaze upon a gorgeous naked woman I will not be subjected to such predictable movie-fare with virtually zero chemistry between any of the actors. For what it's worth, Heather Graham does look amazing! But all the sex scenes were passionless, staged eye-candy for suckers like me who ended up buying the movie. After watching this I sincerely wanted to watch "Boogie Nights" again to see Heather Graham both act and look incredibly sexy. Near the end of this movie, however, I was nearly laughing at how fake the snow looked. You could actually see where the snow-blowers were blasting the little flakes of "cotton balls?" from behind the trees. Some of the "snow" even got caught in the actors' hair, making them look like they were being attacked by dust bunnies. It was ridiculous. So, why didn't I give this 1 star? Well, some of the individual acting was okay. Just "okay." And I appreciated the feeble attempt at a remake of the Hitchcock classic "Suspicion." Other than that, this movie is thin, plastic, and cleverly targeted an obviously susceptible demographic: me. Do not watch this film.
