I have been using it for about 3 weeks now, and I don't have any more pain in my wrist. I am very, very happy! It is exactly what I expected, comfortable and easy to set up and use.

I had high hopes for this product as my wrists regularly hurt from excessive mouse use; however, this product did very little to help me. While I tried to follow guidelines I'd read on 3m's web site about which mouse to buy, the large or the small, I wrongly went with the small. So right away the product didn't fit my hands. How much of the rest of my experience was directly linked to this poor decision I don't know, but I didn't get the impression that a bigger mouse would have made much of a difference because the main problem I had with this was that it was very difficult to use. As a video editor working with visual representations of files on a timeline, I'm constantly using my mouse to grab very small things. Doing this with this mouse was awkward and clumsy, like trying to write with my right hand, and quickly lead to me over straining my wrist in other ways that ultimately continued aggravate my injured wrist. I thought I could use it sometimes, and switch back and forth between my regular mouse and a drawing pad to at least diversify my writs movements. But ultimately the product proved too awkward, too limiting and too rigid to be of much use. Unable to relive me of any pain and discomfort I sent it back after about a week of use.I think had I been someone who used a computer less and for simpler tasks like word processing and internet use, this product may have provided me with some relief. But because of how intensely I use my mouse grabbing at very small elements on the screen requiring a high level of precision, this product turned out to be a waste of time and money. Thankfully, they took it back and gave me a refund. In the interim, I haven't found any other product that really helps. I'm stuck on a traditional mouse keyboard and drawing pad until someone comes up with something else.

I'm a software developer. Ordinary mouse was causing increasing pain in my trigger finger. So much clicking. I'm using this mouse for 2 years. Index finger pain is gone. But for 6 month I'm suffering from wrist pain :)It is very easy to get used to. But I succumb to wrist pain and now I'm in search for another mouse....

I am a design engineer setting up a new practice, and had been doing many hours of CAD work to meet client deadlines. My wrists and eventually my entire forearm was getting more and more sore, getting to the point of requiring painkillers to sleep. I tried a Logitech trackball, which seemed to helped a bit, but I was still in a lot of pain.I happened to see one of these ergonomic mice on a project site, and the person who used it said it helped a lot. It was the same cost as the trackball, so I figured why not? It really does work. Took a while to get used to using my thumb to click the mouse, and the lack of a scroll wheel is a real downside. But, it does what it says and lets me work on the computer for long periods of time with no pain. The mouse comes in two sizes, and I was wondering what size to buy. I'm a big guy, and "small/medium" doesn't quite describe me. The box has a scale for measuring your hand width - if the palm of your hand is 3.5 inches or less, small/medium is your size. Larger, you're a large. Fortunately, I'm just this side of the large line, and this size fits me fine. There's more information and pictures on the 3M web site ([...]). Overall: Not perfect, but if you use your computer to the point of pain you can't go wrong. |
