That stretching could tone you up so much, even improving definition?? I love Miranda, she is barking (in a good way) and her workouts are excellent. I'm a chronic back pain sufferer, so I use her Back Pain Relief DVD (amazingly fine) and like it so much I bought this as well, which has two 30-minute workouts that the brave could do back-to-back for a REALLY hard hour...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not really a stretch dvd
I bought this dvd because I needed more stretching. I work out a lot but wanted more stretching than the 5-10 seconds you find in most workout dvds. While there is some stretching in the 2 workouts here, they are mostly exercises that contract the muscles, not stretch them. That isn't to say the exercises aren't good, just that the title of the dvd is misleading. It...

Not that I'm that brave... It has something in common with isometric programmes like Lotte Berk's and the Bar Method but I find it even better, and I do feel that stretching is helping my back issues as well. Really terrific, great value and good fun. Oh, and because Miranda isn't some kid, I do feel this programme is encouraging for all.

While there is some stretching in the 2 workouts here, they are mostly exercises that contract the muscles, not stretch them. That isn't to say the exercises aren't good, just that the title of the dvd is misleading. It is 'Classical' because most of the exercises are the ones I did in ballet class, but don't expect to increase your flexibility doing them.

It's not a bad dvd. The exercises do target your arms, abs, legs and butt and they will get toned if you do the exercises. But don't expect increased flexibility.
