I have watched this DVD AT LEAST 15 TIMES COMPLETELY THROUGH!.....I can't get my hand off of the DVD remote.....Everything that MAC does....and the poor heartbreak he continues to live without his precious TESSA.....is just a tear jerker..... The fatherly feelings for Richie....is so inspiring....and of course let's not forget the swordfights!!!! I am just glad that there is more than one episode on every DVD....to include synopsis by the directors, etc.......

The stories of Highlander: The Series set the bar for all other science fiction/action adventure series to follow. Combining a mixture of Celtic legend, immortality, the idea of good versus evil and all the gray areas that go along with that, amazing sword choreography, and romance, Highlander epitomizes what makes for great story telling. And no season has done this more than Season 3 of Highlander: The Series. Each episode of this season furthers the Highlander legend with beautifully constructed flashbacks to various time periods of the past, masterful story telling of human and immortal frailties and the repercussions of past actions upon the present. The joy and agony of mortal love, of friendships torn apart, and the loss of dear friends are all depicted in the 22 intelligent stories that comprise Season 3.

And if that is not enough, the Season 3 DVD set contains many hours of video/audio commentary by our favorite stars, bloopers, details about story development, production notes, Watcher chronicles about all the mortal and immortal characters, and all 22 scripts that can be printed out and followed along with the respective episodes. This is truly a comprehensive collection of behind-the-scenes commentary.

The nine disc set comes in a beautifully illustrated collector's box with each DVD in it's own protective sleeve. The menus on each disc were artistically created and designed for easy navigation. If you were to buy only one season of Highlander, Season 3 is the set to buy. It has always been said that Highlander: The Series is a collection of one-hour mini-movies. I would put Season 3 of Highlander on DVD up against any other movie compilation out there today.

One word, Kalas! Finally, no two parters, no one shots but, a Super Villain lurking about bent on destroying Macleod for an entire season! This it folks, Kalas is not just after Duncan but, everyone he talks to looks at cross-eyed or buys a Latte from.
If you dont want to get completely hooked on Highlander the series, then dont watch! This is the season that makes a casual viewer an addict

Duncan MacLeod, played my Adrian Paul, is a fabulous man; any woman would love to have known him for 400 years! The acting is fabulous and the action is outstanding.

This DVD set is also loaded with extras! There is behind the scene footage, bloopers, and for the mega fan--watcher chronicles (a personal favorite). The behind the scenes commentary even includes information on the work it took to create such wonderfully designed fight scenes!

This set is a must for anyone interested in great television viewing!

Duncan returns yet again in this third installment of the highly acclaimed tv series Highlander.
Having suffered the loss of Darius and Tessa and learning of the existence of the Watchers, MacLeods life has forever changed.
The highlight of the series is the battle between Duncan and an evil immortal named kalas who has vowed revenge on Duncan and seeks to destroy everyone Duncan loves. Also in this installment of the Highlander series' we are introduced to the oldest known immortal "methos".

This by far was the most intense of the seasons. Anybody who got deeply involved in this series felt the impact of the death of Darius and Tessa. They felt the joy of learning that Richie was immortal. Season 3 delivers even more intensity than the previous two seasons.

I give this season my absolute highest reccommendation. The DVD quality and extra features is absolutely essential to any highlander fans library.

I really started getting into this series when this season started. My favorite episode was "Shadows". My only gripe is that they (the writers) didn't make more of a story with Duncan and Anne. Otherwise, I liked it lots!

This series is a must and just as good as when I first saw it.The only regret for me-being a deafy-is that this was made before subtitles or closed captions as you call them were put on.Although the box does show CC.
I cannot wait for more to come out .does anyonw know how many series were made and I can look forward to.Any help appreciated.
Stll crying over the death of Tessa but even so enjoying it all.Rush out to get this now
PRINCE RAFAEL

This is the season where Highlander is really hitting its stride. We get unforgettable fights and new characters. In this season we learn where Duncan got his katana and we meet Methos for the first time. Not to mention the story arc involving Kalas and evil immortal bent on destroying Duncan MacLeod. Just buy it you wont be dissapointed.
