Falling Angels is a heartfelt, wonderful film that features an array of superb, talented actors, incredible set design, outstanding direction, and impressive attention to detail. The original music is also surprisingly wonderful! The story of three vastly different late-teens sisters growing up in 60s-era suburbs is not always uplifting, but is consistently thought-provoking and eerily relatable. Don't expect blockbuster-esque special effects and non-stop action. This is quite the opposite - understated, thoughtful, dreamy, beautiful, raw, and real. This kind of movie makes you proud of Canadian cinema, hopeful for it's future, and one hundred percent sure of the profound influence it is capable of having on the rest of the world. Named one of Canada's Top Ten Films this year by the Toronto Film Festival Group, and easy to see why! A must-see.
