I personally really liked the CD. And I had heard of almost every band on the soundtrack prior to it. Of course my personal favorite is Seether & Amy Lee. And your right, although its great, it is no way better than Seether's original version. Other two favorites are Drowning Pool & Smile Empty Soul. I would highly recommend the CD to someone who likes rock music.

The CD is good. The variety of different bands is good, I'm liking the Soundtrack. I wouldnt recommend this CD to those that can't get into new bands or stuff that isnt very popular. Most people I know that heard this CD only like it because of artists such as Seether and Amy Lee or Chevelle. I personally prefer Strata's music to all them any day. But... overall the CD is quite good to listen to. I have to agree with those that said that the new version of "Broken" with Amy Lee in it is in NO way as good as the original version... I think she completely ruined the song. You cant hear him at all, its his song, and now it sucks. But, eh, what can you do?My favorites from the CD have to be Smile Empty Soul, Strata, Ben Moody, Chevelle, Edgewater, and Seven Wiser. All the songs are Rock, hard rock, but nothing really heavy about it. The CD is worth checking out at least.. but definitely not a favorite of mine.

I'm not crazy about the whole CD, but Seether featuring Amy Lee is one of the most rememerable song off the albumn. the style resembles a blend of Shinedown, 3 Doors Down, and Nickelback, but with Amy in the mix it holds a whole new characteristic to it.Definetly woth buying just for the one song :) Or you can find it on Seether's new albumn "Disclaimer". Awesome song!!!

Meh...,

This CD is average. Nothing too exciting. First off, I am not a fan of Nickelback, Puddle of Mudd, and bands of that sort. Some of the songs on the CD are really good. My favorite would have to be "Sold Me" by Seether. This is definately a step up from Daredevil and Spider-Man (which was one of the WORST soundtracks ever with crap bands like Sum41 and that god-awful song "Hero" by Chad Kroeger and Josey Scott). But this CD has many flaws to it. the main flaw being that the CD is EDITED??? Come on now. The film is rated "R" in itself, and not many little kids are going to be able to see it, so needless to say, not many little kids are going to have any interest in the album if they haven't even seen the movie. So why are they worried about leaving swears in the songs?? To all who have not seen the Punisher movie yet--this CD reflects nothing on the actual movie--the movie is excellent, go see it!!!One other major flaw was Seether's re-made "Broken" with guest vocalist Amy Lee. Now question to everyone saying that this was the best song on the CD: Have you ever even heard (or did you even know of) the original version of "Broken" on Seether's "Disclaimer" album??? That version is 100 times better than this new one. Amy Lee's vocals are too loud and they totally drown out the ACTUAL creator of the song, Shaun Morgan. This isn't Amy Lee's work, therefor, she should not have the main spotlight in the song. This was a song by Seether, and Amy Lee is merely just a "guest appearance". Shaun Morgan's vocals on the original "Broken" are so much better and fit so much nicer for the mood that the song is supposed to give off. If you haven't heard the orginal version of "Broken", I highly reccomend doing so--it is so much better. Some may have heard it on the TV spot trailer for the Punisher movie. Other than the edited content and the bad re-make of the originally phenominal "Broken", the CD still comes out as an average CD. There are some good songs, but sadly, there are more bad songs than good songs. Hopefully the next Marvel movie has a better soundtrack--or hopefully they make a Punisher 2 movie and the soundtrack will improve greatly. But, who knows?? All we can do is hope...

An OK Sountrack,

I was expecting alot more from this album. Nu-metal bands just dont cut it when it comes to doing a soundtrack for a movie like The Punisher. This cd would have been alot better with bands like Killswitch Engage, God Forbid, Dillenger Escape Plan and the like. If the rumors of a sequal are true I hope they put a little more effort into the next soundtrack.

For me the the best song is "Broken" with Seether & Lee( of Evanescence) She has a killer voice, but the rest of the CD is pretty good if you like nickleback type music.
