Peace Sells is a classic, in every sense of the word. It runs neck and neck with Ride the Lightning by Metallica, but manages to skim past just a bit due to the musicianship of the band in question, which were much better than Metallica in terms of experience and technique.
Where Ride the Lightning relies on bone-crunching progressive-metal tendancies, Peace Sells takes a different approach and maintains the same speed-metal, tongue-in-cheek humour of it's previous outing, but this time simplifies the song structures just a bit so the band can control their technique better. This paid off in a big way. The entire album is a slaughterfest right up to "Good Morning...Black Friday" after which it falters a bit, but it sure is an amazing ride getting there!
The album opens up with Wake Up Dead, a mostly instrumental introductory song, but ends with the most unexpected change of pattern and time ever in a metal song, much to my delight! Other noteables such as the thumping title track, Devil's Island, and The Conjuring all serve as a groundwork for anyone who's looking to make finely tuned, long-lasting classic heavy metal.

This second album of Megadeth is not there best work... but still a grat album. A lot of Megadeth classic is in it (Peace Sells, Wake Up Dead, Devil's Island...). This is the last album of Chris Poland and Gar Samuelson... The only negative point in this album is that it is too short... Only 36.18min
Still a classic
