I had researched the product in Consumer Reports and Cooking Illustrated. I am pleased with the food processor and would recommend it to others.

Great capacity, fonctionnal, quiet, strong motor. Here's a very competitive price at Amazon if one compares with Sears and Tie-Can for exemple. Ps. There's only two accessories that are not included in the package but are easy to obtain.

I was afraid at this price that it wouldn't have all the additional bits and pieces and accessories, but everything was there and it works great!

I didn't find this to do what I wanted. If you want a really good food processor you need to spend at least $100. It is worth the investment. This one definitely is not. It broke after 6 months of GENTLE use.

Bought this Food Processor 4 months ago and it worked great until yesterday when after normal use I was surprised to find the blade was stuck in the bowl and wouldn't come off (usually it just slides off) no matter how hard I tried to pull it off. Called Kitchen Aid for service and they said this is not a warranty issue and there was nothing they could do and I should call a repair shop. Called a local appliance repair shop and they stated this was a common issue they see with these models of Kitchen aid and basically to get the blade off you would have to break the bowl or the blade and a replacement for either would cost $50. Otherwise the unit is basically garbage. Now I know why these were on sale for $145. Glad to see Kitchen Aid stands behind their products and their "Hassle-Free" replacement warranty as advertised on their web page.

This machine will do the job and do it nicely but as others have mentioned it will not handle quantities that you might need in the average kitchen. Yes it is possible to do more than one batch but this seems like a problem that could have been worked out by the designers. Because the center spindle is only a couple of inches in height, one is only able to fill the container to that height even though the container rises 4 inches above the center spindle. The machine is heavy but I like this. It is solid on the counter when working and there is no unnecessary vibration. It chops well, and the various disks for dicing and shredding work very well. I also think the pastry cutter is efficient, but again, best only doing one pie at a time. If I were looking for another processor I might look for something that could handle larger volumes, but other than that it's fine. Stanstead, Quebec, Canada.

Excellent product. We originally purchased a Black & Decker at Costco at a lower price point, but it just didn't perform. We found this KitchenAid processor on sale at Amazon and it is fantastic. It works like a charm. You get what you pay for!

I LOVE this food processor. Unlike the main competitor, the KitchenAid KFP750 also has a handy small bowl and small blade which is perfect for smaller jobs like chopping some nuts.

I was so happy to get my food processor in time for my marathon session of Christmas baking. This year it was going to be French macarons and the food processor was essential. The first batch turned out beautifully. Encouraged by my success I moved on to another variation that required finely chopped white chocolate. I cut the chocolate into small chunks and used the mini bowl to chop it finer. Big mistake!it did a good job of cutting the chocolate into finer pieces but when I attempted to remove the blade so that I could remove the bowl I found that it was stuck fast. I could see no reason for this for the blade simply drops into place. I pulled and tugged but it wouldn't budge. Paniced I looked online to see if anyone else had ever had this problem. Apparently I was not the first. One suggestion was to leverage it from the base and push upward. I tried with all my strength but it may as well have been set in cement. Since the mini bowl sits within the larger bowl when it is used, the stuck blade made the whole machine unusable. Finally I called KitchenAid and they apologized and were more than happy to replace my two week old machine. They emailed shipping labels for its return but the new machine won't be here in time for my Christmas baking. I did attempt to make the French macarons without the food processor but I could not repeat my initial first success. I don't know if I simply had received a defective machine or if this is a common problem but KitchenAid does have very good customer service. |
