2.0 out of 5 stars Not impressed...
The songs on this record are far less intelligent and introspective than previous T&S tunes - showing a kind of downward trend in their songwriting. It is almost as if little to no time or effort was put into this record - the lyrics are juvenile and mundane at best, and echo the same themes as their previous effort, If It Was You. Musically, doubled vocals do not help...

5.0 out of 5 stars They are growing up, Sep 17 2004

This review is from: So Jealous Uni #'s (Audio CD)
Being a fan since "The business of art" their first major album, its fun to hear their voices grow up. What I liked about So Jealous the most is the melding of the two previous sounds, the more punk "If It Was You" and the folk/rock of "The Art of Business" its creates a sound that is unique to these sisters, which is what music is about. The lyrics are simple yet always stick out and seem to take you into their world. Overall, this is a must buy, the best album of 2004 so far for me personally.

5.0 out of 5 stars Canadian Duo does it again!, Feb 28 2006

I've been a fan of Tegan and Sara since their first album, Under Feet Like Ours. I've followed them through This Business of Art, If It Was You, and now onto So Jealous. With each release Tegan and Sara have taken things to a new and different level. So Jealous has such a great mix of slower songs for a quiet night, and songs that you just can't help but move your body to.

For me, Tegan and Sara are one of the best bands that you've never heard before, and this album takes them one step closer to being an album that everyone is talking about. Their live shows are equally as impressive as their album, and if you have the chance, you should definitey pick up a ticket when they are in your area!

5.0 out of 5 stars Canada's best kept musical secret...., Dec 1 2005
By A Customer
This review is from: So Jealous Uni #'s (Audio CD)
'So Jealous' is, without a doubt, Tegan and Sara's most solid release to date. From their first release 'This Business of Art' to 'So Jealous', their music has done nothing but evolve. No matter what your musical preference, you'll come to enjoy the catchy melodies and lyrics the Canadian sisters offer up. If you get a chance to see them perform live, do it because their music and on-stage banter is highly entertaining.

4.0 out of 5 stars New fan?, Oct 18 2005

If you are a new fan of Tegan and Sara then you need to listen to their old stuff. I love Tegan and Sara but I think that this is their worst album yet. Its to pop like. There best one for sure is THIS BUISNESS OF ART. Everyone needs to check this one out for sure. But this one wasn't bad. There old stuff is just better. But isn't that the way it always is?

obviously, this album is the best of this year. if you listen to this with an open mind you'll love it..if you're just a top 40 listener it might take a little bit to grow on you. but the songs are unbelievably catchy so it shouldnt take long. i got this cd without hearing one song off it and ended up liking every single song along with getting every other tegan and sara record. i hope to see them live sometime in the near future since ive heard they are best live. and if you love this album as much as i do maybe you should check them out live too. and while your at it buy 3 copies of so jealous and share the sounds of tegan and sara with some friends. enjoy.

These twins put all of their emotion into their songs, I am a big fan of T & S and I Love this new album. It is a bit more electric guitar again mixed in with OF COURSe their amazing voices and acoustics.... There are a couple of really catchy songs as well, if your thinking about buying it, get to it, cause its an amazing CD. It also has a enhanced version with a video on the making of Tegan and Sara-So Jealous... Go get it, you won't regret it!

It is almost as if little to no time or effort was put into this record - the lyrics are juvenile and mundane at best, and echo the same themes as their previous effort, If It Was You. Musically, doubled vocals do not help the tracks..and I don't know how much more I can take chords strummed on the downbeat in 4/4 time...Nothing interesting happening here...I'd love to see T&S return to their "roots" of interwoven guitar and edgy vocals - what they do best.
