This movie did NOT live up to my expectations! I thought the first movie was amazing, a touching tale of a young girl who sacrafices her stable life to help her father. I was sitting on the edge of my seat through out the first, but in the second I practically fell asleep! Please, PLEASE rent or borrow this movie before you buy it because its horrible!

i thought this movie was sweet,adorable even.i agree that is was not as good as the first but still a good movie.the three soldiers were cute and adorable,and mulan was still strong,very enjoyable.

Decent movie, but awful songs., May 5 2009

I'm a huge Mulan fan. It's one of my favorite Disney movies. Great songs, great story, great everything. All of which is pretty much ruined in this movie. Mushu is extremely predictable in actions and is portrayed as extremely selfish. Which he got over at the end of the first movie. This disregard for the development was annoying. The story was decent, most of the attempts at comedy try too hard and fail. The songs border on plain awful. One is decent, but ruined after the first part. Another song is a complete rip-off of one from the first movie. I suggest avoiding this movie unless you're a really die hard Mulan fan.
