I was quite pleased with the first season of My Little Pony, the boxing and quality were so-so, but I wasnt expecting anything over the top. I was a little concerned at first that I did not see the episodes I remember, but when I went under the "extras" section on the DVDs I found the episodes I remembered and love. Like the pilot episode and such... I think it's a great purchase for a Pony lover or someone buying for their daughter. Thumbs up. :)

I used to watch the series when i was a kid and enjoyed this DVD very much. the only problem i have with it is the Rescue from midnight castle and Escape from Katrina Specials that were also put on this DVD. i realize that sometimes you have to cut things down in order to fit the time frame or budget but they cut out the opening of rescue from midnight castle and cut out an entire song. Also a song was cut out of Escape from Katrina. Everything else is how i remember it but it's still not the same. i sure hope that these two specials come out as separate DVDs in their entirety or go back, fix it up and put it on the Season 2 discs.

Just realized that the Episode Mish Mash Melee was not included in the set. Also, not sure why Rhino didn't just add the second season to this DVD set, because I can't see them doing a second season DVD when there is only 13 * 10 min episodes in the second season. I will email Rhino and see what they tell me. Enjoy...

More on the DVD's. I have played a few more episodes and find the break between multi-segment episodes seems very hard. A die hard MLP fan would beable to notice about 2-3 seconds of dialoge missing, but its still nice to have the show on DVD.

I have only viewed a few of the stories on the DVD's, but did notice one song missing from The Glass Princess. It was also missing from the VHS copies, but I know it was included when it played on TV. The title was "Hurry" and was part of part 4 in that show.

I am in New Brunswick and would love to own this dvd set but haven't been able to find it ANYWHERE! I've been looking everywhere since Nov. 9 and it's not even listed in the stores!
