Can't get enough,
By Ian (Rural Nova Scotia, Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: MI-5: Volume 2 (DVD)
This series (both 1 and 2) has been stunning since I popped in the very first episode. The writing is exceptional - it deals with people and culture and the world political situation without sacrificing the story. The characters are very believable - we see their strengths and their weaknesses. The cinematography is wonderful. All in all - a real treat

Great TV,

This is really a great TV show. I am sick of adds and reruns and changes in network schedules. This show is excellent and far better then anything I have seen on TV recently.

This series is beautifully done, everything from the relationship between the characters to the camera work. It is intelligent, gritty and highly addictive.

The best season?,
By EB "Crumit" (Montreal, QC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: MI-5: Volume 2 (DVD)
Season Two is as good as the first season and better than some later ones. The original cast is here, with the welcome addition of Nicola Walker as Ruth Evershed. Hugh Laurie makes a couple of unforgettable appearances as Jules Siviter from MI-6. Personal tensions ramp up for everyone, but the second season is all about Tom unraveling. The commentary tracks on some of these episodes are very entertaining, especially when the actors playing Colin and Ruth are doing them. |
