5.0étoiles sur 5 Best Spaghetti Western Out There!
If you enjoy Spaghetti Westerns, then you need to sink your teeth into "Nobody". This is our family's most favorite western out there. The musical score is excellent, and Henry Fonda is absolutley wonderful! This is a quirky, unusual western, and you need to be a western fan to appreciate it. Our old VHS tape is going to get replaced by this DVD, and I am looking forward...

3.0étoiles sur 5 Great film, shame about the tape quality
One of my all-time favorites, and rather hard to find in Europe (odd, as it is countries like Germany where the Italian spaghetti-western genre has enjoyed greatest succes). Inserting the tape into my VCR, I was really looking forward to seeing this gem again after quite a few years, but I was sourly disppointed at the very poor quality of this particular recording...

4.0étoiles sur 5 Thoughtfully and very detailed, Avril 10 2003

You might say "How can he be rating this movie when he doesn't own the DVD? Well I have the movie on VHS and it's a great one.

Almost every old cowboy movie is slow paced, "My name is Nobody" isn't any different but it's thoughtfully and very detailed. The story is great and has a great ending. The movie is both funny and serious.. mostly serious.

Of course the soundtrack of this movie is, to my opinion still unmatched by Ennio Morricone.. very moving stuff which really ties into the old west era.

Enjoy the movie!

5.0étoiles sur 5 My Favorite Westen Comedy of All Time, Nov. 1 2002
Par Un client
This review is from: My Name Is Nobody (VHS Tape)
This movie is far better than even Blazing Saddles. The best part is that despite the comedy it has a certain real feel to it. Terence Hill playes a young up-and-coming gun slinger who is determined to make Jack Beauregard, played by Henry Fonda, a legend. Unfortunately all Jack wants to do is retire and move to Europe. The two eventually become friends as Nobody follows Jack across the west tring to get him to take on the Wild Bunch.

Anyone who has seen a Terence Hill movie knows that they will leave you rolling on the floor laughing. Well this one is the best. Its also in enough tast that you would have no problem letting the entire family watch this one(which is rare indeed).

5.0étoiles sur 5 Tick, tock, Juil 29 2007

(TOP 500 REVIEWER)    (REAL NAME)
Tick tock...the clock ticks away. The famous gunslinger Jack Beauregarde sits in the barber's chair...an assassin menacingly strops the razor as Jack leans back in the chair, eyes closed...tick, tock, tick tock...the bandit swathes on the shaving foam and sets the razor to Jack's neck...the next sound is an ominous "click" and Beauregarde has his gun cocked at the assassin's nethers. After getting a nervously smooth shave he guns down all three assassins and sets the real barber free, giving him ten whole dollars! It has the best beginning and the best ending of any of the classic "spaghetti westerns," and it is my favourite...and who is "Nobody?" Well... as the barber explains to his son who asks "Ain't nobody faster than Jack Beauregarde?": "No son, nobody is faster than Jack Beauregarde!!!"

5.0étoiles sur 5 Exceptional Comedy Western, Oct. 18 2002
This review is from: My Name Is Nobody (VHS Tape)
There are few good comedy Westerns. In fact in recent history I don't recall one since City Slickers. Back in the 60-70s you had Cat Ballou, Blazing Saddles, and a couple others. This should certainly be in any collection of Western Comedies. Henry Fonda does a great job of keeping a straight face as he plays the retiring gunfighter while Terrence Hill quips jokes at Fonda and does some slapstick fighting to amuse us. Hill steals the show with the hilarious scenes of him foiling the bad guys. It takes several viewings to catch all the jokes, but you won't mind as it has great replayability. I first saw this on TV in the late 70s and made a point to buy it on VHS when I could. I am now looking forward to getting the DVD.

5.0étoiles sur 5 Cool Classic, Mars 31 2002
This review is from: My Name Is Nobody (VHS Tape)
My favorite movie bar none! I'm not a fan of typical westerns but this isn't a typical western. Terence Hill plays the up and coming gun slinger. He also plays the part of a guardian angle insuring Henry Fondas safe retirement from his gun fighting career. To bad Hollywood never recognized Terence Hill and put him in any other movies worthy of his ability. Thanks "Mike", my sisters boyfriend 20 years ago, for tapping this
for me.

1.0étoiles sur 5 My name would be "nobody" too if I had to be in this....., Aoû 20 2001

Several things came to mind while watching...a)scenery is great; if you've never been to Mogollon, make a trip. b) Henry Fonda was a great actor and must have been blackmailed by Sergio Leone to appear in this mess. c) Leone was no doubt popular with investors for recycling everything from costumes to music on each of his music. d) the video quality was too damned good, if you ask me. e) The word "Interminable" came to me several times. This is one of those movies better with the sound off. If you want a western, watch any of John Ford's, Ulzana's Raid, Butch Casidy and the Sundance Kid, or the Magnificent Seven. Nuff said.

4.0étoiles sur 5 The " Apocolypse Now" of westerns!, Mai 8 2001
Par Mike "mako505" (NY, United States) - Voir tous mes commentaires
This review is from: My Name Is Nobody (VHS Tape)
Great movie! But... The quality of the video recording was quite annoying! There has to be a better one out there somewhere. I pray when it comes out on DVD that it's in letterbox. I've seen this flick on tv and it seems that this vhs recording was super zoomed when formatted. Most of the best scene in the movie, where Fonda has his big showdown, is lost "side to side". If your a big Terence Hill fan and your "jonsing" for this movie then click away otherwise wait for the remastered DVD edition.

Inserting the tape into my VCR, I was really looking forward to seeing this gem again after quite a few years, but I was sourly disppointed at the very poor quality of this particular recording.
