What can I say? This DVD set is amazing. If you are an avid poker fan/ enthusiast, then this DVD set is a steal. Season Two of the WPT is the year when poker truly exploded into the mainstream. Prize pools were growing, players were increasing, and the pros just kept coming.

The DVD's are made wonderfully, two episodes per disc, totalling 7 discs of poker action (roughly 3 hours per disc), plus an additional bonus DVD with player profiles and poker tips. 8 DVD's, packaged into 4 slim DVD cases, with color inserts, and information about each episode. Asthetically, this DVD looks amazing.

The quality of the video is amazing, very crisp and clear, as expected of DVD video. If you are an amateur player, I find this set essential. I, personally, enjoy studying each player, hand by hand, call by call, bet by bet. Watching the professionals play is something that is absolutely essential for improving play. If you already are an intermediate/advance player, this is pure entertainment!

Definate highlights of the season are the WPT Championship (watching Martin de Knijff mowing over the competition), the LA Poker Classic (Antonio Esfandiari in action), Grad Prix de Paris (George the Greek and his island of Crete) and San Jose Bay 101 (Phil Gordon and Chris Moneymaker battle it out).

Overall, the episodes were amazing. The DVD's were made beautifully. The special features were great, with additional commentary on 4 episodes with Antonio Esfandiairi, Phil Laak, Daniel Negreanu and Erick Lindgren. The extra extended Poker Corner with Annie Duke, Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu dissecting the play at the WPT Championship was a nice bonus. Plus all the poker corners in one spot. This DVD is definately a great bang for your buck, and it a great buy for any poker fan.

There is a lot of poker on tv these days but the WPT series continues to be my favourite. It is one of the few series where you consistently see the best players play their game. The DVD set has close to a dozen episodes and is well worth the money.
