This DVD set of the TV show The Job is wonderful. I only wish that there were more episodes to watch. If you like Denis Leary, or funny shows that don't contain laugh tracks, but have hilarious, acidic humor, this is the DVD collection for you. Money very well spent

Unlike other reviews, I don't believe this was the best TV show ever. I LOVE Denis Leary and was happy with his part in the show, but I can't say the same about the other actors. For it to be strictly a comedy show I was disappointed. It just wasn't that funny... The small amount of episodes are worth viewing, but possibly not worth watching over again. Best to go with Rescue Me.

Why did they ever cancel this show, it is absolutely FUNNY!
It seems amazing that all the good, realistic, funny shows get cancelled.
Now, we have to put up with so called "Reality Shows" BLECH!!!

Funny, fast, and over too quick. That's got to be a good sign, right? Leary pre-dates his excellent RESCUE ME with this take on NY cops. As a retired cop myself I can appreciate the gallows humour. That's how we got through the day. This is a good way to get through the evening. A couple of episodes at a time.Blue Knight, White Cross

I was shocked when the TV network canceled this amazing show. I guess the big three, ABC, NBC and CBS, think that those ridiculous Reality Shows are more entertaining than a creative idea and excellent writing. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see where Rescue Me came from. Change the workplace from the precinct to the fire hall, and you have the same show. This short series is an absolute must for fans of Denis Leary and Rescue Me.
