This is an outstanding series -- one of the best I've ever seen on tv. It's gritty, tragic, and sometimes funny. The characters are well-drawn and the acting is top-notch. This series makes obvious how palid most North American tv really is. I can hardly wait until they release the rest of the series in North America. Get this series...you won't be disappointed.

A good friend of mine brought be back series 1 & 3 from Glasgow a couple years ago, and I immediately got hooked on the show. There are some fantastic storylines that are quite believeable in some instances. The power struggles between inmates and screws (prison officers) add the the wonderful dynamics of the series. The series is not without its humour and dry wit as well. Amusing one liners are priceless. Before I had finished watching the first series, I bought the second from Amazon.co.uk. I now have all (series 1-6) of the series that have been released. Mind you, the UK releases of the series DVDs have more features (video interviews, behind the scenes, etc) that the North American releases, so if you don't need the subtitles and you have a multi-regional player, check out the UK releases.

You must give this a go, and you'll be hooked for sure.

I got hooked a few years ago when Showcase Diva aired Season one and I think they aired up until season 5. I missed most of it and was disappointed when they took it off. I have been reading the episode guide on the show's official website to keep me in the loop but it's not the same as watching it. It is so riviting, dramatic, humourous and very well written and acted. The storylines are very compelling and it is just a show without borders. I can't wait until they release the rest of the seasons here in Canada.

This is the best series I've ever watched. Characters are realistic, the acting is superb, and the storylines will blow your mind. After watching series one I was hooked on "Bad Girls" and bought an all region dvd player and every other box set of this show I could get my hands on. You'll laugh, you'll cry...and in the end, you'll know this is the best money you've ever spent.

FINALLY, this magnificent British series has come to the US! Groundbreaking and brilliantly written and acted, you will be hooked from the first episode. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll get angry, you'll fall in love. Bad Girls is not to be missed!

Fantastic entertainment which will stir all your emotions.

I really enjoyed the first season of Bad Girls, I found it a very moving realistic drama and the actors were most convincing at times! Out of prison dramas like Oz I love this one the most!
