With an amazing visual style and interesting battles with a huge cast of characters, Radiata Stories harkened back to the first time I played Suikoden for the PS1.

The good - Lot's of replay value and very good mix of linear and non-linear story sequences. Lots of bonus material and after-completion dungouns and fights. I say almost enough fun to beat twice because I was almost done it the second time when I picked up another game (Dragon Quest I think) that took my head out of this game and I never came back.

The bad - suffers from Arc the Lad's "I've got a great story at first but then fall flat late" syndrome. Trying to get everything suffers from FFX's "I'm not going to tell you that you need to dodge lightning a thousand times in a row, but you need to in order to get this one weapon" syndrome relating to getting all of the characters. It's one of those games that you can't get everything unless you read a guide.

Worth it? - Yes, but I wouldn't pay more than $39.99 for it.
