This video makes many claims about the SS without substantiating anything really. No documentation, and no interviews of personnel who were actually there. They make claims about how hated the SS were everywhere they went, however fail to mention that the SS formed an entire DIVISION of troops from VOLUNTEERS in Estonia/Latvia. Furthermore, those troops stayed loyal to the Reich and actually fought a guerilla war against the brutally oppressive Soviet occupiers for some time after Germany was forced to retreat. You can sum this video's usefulness up to some interesting black and white footage - just turn the sound off.

hitler wanted too raise the old celtic and viking tribes of the middle ages back too life thus so he created the ss which its orgin comes from the gauls(the celts)and also the suicide knights of the crusades there were different groups of the SS your basic field soldier and your cops and also guards even tank divisons,paratroopers the most highest honored unit in the ss were the Deaths head -or suicide soldier aka death soldier.so i say before you go and say the ss were not human go read the book on the vikings or the celts they acted the very same way its called middle age warfare a person who begs for there life isnt worth living the russians also believed in no surrender fight too the last man which in most cases they did so i end this with saying im damn proud too be germanic celtic im also american but i caNT put down my ancestors like that i have huge respect for the SS and the old german military them and russians were real soldiers .too say something else most of the german units and ss were on the eastern front fighting the russians probably the most brutal fighting front of the whole war

My father fought from North Africa, Italy, Southern France, Austria and finally Germany. He was wounded 4 seperate times. Received Silver Star, Purple Heart and Bronze star. His 19 year old half brother was killed beside him. All that being said, he and his comrades that I interviwed almost never took these mindless Nazis prisoner. The stories that they personally experienced of their Nazi crimes were beyond human comphrension. I am disqusted that anyone would think of these creatures in any terms but the horrible instruments of a maligant society. I am upset when I read these glowing comments on this herrondeous organization. These same men in my fathers outfit had respect and soldier to soldier consideration for the regular German Verhmacht. This movie does little to show what they were really about, which is Death and destruction.
