this movie is a pathetic attempt at a film. true films contain drunken revelers wondering where their money went when it is ridiculously obvious that no one has left the table the money was sitting on. apparently, during the cutaway, the scenes that are not currently onscreen are frozen. welcome to spring break has this scene, and i hope you will support it instead of this charleton heston garbage.

This film is one of the greats. It is very disappointing that the disk must be flipped over, which takes time and is distracting.

Who is the worse actor, Charlton Heston or Stephen Boyd?Who is the worse author, General Lew Wallace or Edward Bulwer-Lytton? The chariot race is great, but on the way to that race you have to face hours of suffocating piety, starting with the Star Over Bethlehem and all that. It's an absolutely uninteresting story and I definitely plan never to see this old melodrama again.

'Ben Hur' is a famous film some people have seen or at least heard about. Most people fail to realize all of that doesn't matter because Jesus Christ never existed!! Jesus Christ is a mythological figure the church has exploited for hundreds of years and now the film industry has for almost a hundred years. There is absolutely no archeological or historical evidence that Jesus Christ existed. Even if he did exist, it would be highly unlikely he would have received that kind of punishment.
It is a shame that con artists like these filmmakers are using this mythological figure to make millions of dollars. People have to start swaying away from the manipulations of the church and the filmmaking industry and start looking at the hard facts. Jesus Christ and his crucifixion never happened.
