5.0 out of 5 stars Nadia---A Shining Star
The reviews on amazon.ca so far didn't do justice for the show. In my opinions, this is the best season ever produced-warm and brautiful. Nadia (Mia) was the most rich female character ever developed in the alias series. The performance Mia presented was mesmerising. I was never a biased reviewer, and I hardly gave a five star to any movies to TV shows. If anybody really...

2.0 out of 5 stars Meh.
Wow. This season is written like a teenage schoolboy on his first date. All too eager to get to 3rd base without bothering to round 1st and 2nd. This season is characterized by ridiculous leaps of plot and really lame cliffhanger resolution. Granted, Alias has always required suspension of disbelief, but this season is like a test to see how stupid the audience really...

Writer for these shows did an amazing job. Too bad this series did not last longer. Highly recommend the entire series. Will keep you on the edge of your seat.

CIA shows cannot just be about torture and human cruelty, or like those ridiculous 007 Bond movie. If some fans only expected those, they surely would be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars I loved it., Dec 10 2005

I may be a die-hard Alias fan, but I fail to see much wrong. I liked the extra history embedded in the story, and main characters are still deep enough that you never get comfortable with where you stand.

I was told by two people that "It was a shame they killed that guy". Well, they definitely killed a guy, but I didn't miss him.

The show is fun, and I look forward to Season 5.

This season is characterized by ridiculous leaps of plot and really lame cliffhanger resolution. Granted, Alias has always required suspension of disbelief, but this season is like a test to see how stupid the audience really is. I still love the cast but the plot design is really really bad. It makes me worried about the plot destination for Lost, given that's another JJ show with a fantasy core.

I've enjoyed the show up until now but I seriously doubt I will pay for season 5 when it releases next year. If I'm curious, I'll just read episode summaries online and not have my time wasted by having to watch them on tv.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not the best but still pretty good!, Sep 17 2005

Just wanted to say that Sloane actually heads APO this season (Authorized Personnel Only) as opposed to what the last reviewer wrote.
Season 4 was another trip into Sydney Bristow's crazy world. It was great to get Lauren out of the picture although the dramatic tension she provided was missed. Some loose threads were tied up and I see season 4 (as well as season 3) as transition seasons that will hopefully lead to an even more explosive season 5.
Still the best show on television.

3.0 out of 5 stars When Things Recycle Themselves, Sep 1 2005

This review is from: Alias: Season 4 (DVD)
Alias is one of the greatest shows ever created. It has always been totally cinematic and of thatrical quality....until now. Seasons 1 and 2 where the greatest and season three wasn't half bad. Season 4 on the other hand takes the series on a nose dive. That is if you like originality and action. Season 4 can best be described as a woman's version of Alias. Too much useless sentimentality and wasted chances. It also attempts to bring the series full circle with a return to roots. Sloan returns as the head of the newly established PNE (Private No Entry) While interesting it is ultimately a let down. I morn the passing of good television. But if you like chick flicks or wanted less suspense or action and the end of Sydney's awful season 3 hairdo...go ahead and buy this. At least her new sister is hot, makes Sydney look awfully bad....Maybe season 5 will be better. But I doubt it. Seasons 1-3 are must owns.
