madonna is BACK,

This review is from: Confessions on a Dance Floor (Audio CD)
i have one thing to say about "confessions on a dance floor":ITS F***ING AMAZING! she's done it again with her catchy pop tunes and evolving her sound to fit the new millenium. I wasn't really impressed with much of Madonna's music lately, her last few albums weren't that great, with the exception of a few songs. Songs like "Frozen" and "Music", but most of her stuff lately had been...bland. My mom is a big madonna fan so this is how i know all this. I thought that she was finished now. But now she comes back with this awesome album. Almost all the tracks run into each other so its like one long song. People who say madonna needs to "grow up", they obviously havent heard her stuff when she first came out in the 80's. Although no madonna album comes close to her early works, this album definitely shows that she HAS grown up...in fact i think every album since her debut, "madonna" she's matured more and more...so i dont know that those people are talking about that she needs to grow up. All in all, i think this is the best Madonna album since "Like a Prayer".

The songs on this CD are about rhythm and thump. There are many unique sounds in this CD. The treble can be a little irritating at times the normal person wouldn't care.

Madonna Comes Out With Another Winner Album,

I realize that the title I selected is a bit tardy considering she has a more recent album than this one, but I felt that it was worth giving Madonna the credit that she deserves. I realize that Madonna does some contraversail things, but she basically came from a broken family had her shows may be part of the ways she expresses her emotion.I found this album to be very intelligent, and it was put together with thought, time, and care. This is the type of music I could see being played at a semi-formal night club in the evening hours, as tracks 1, 7, & 9 would really fit an evening mood; and actually Madonna's first track on this album: "Hung Up" is the reason I bought this album. Other brilliant tracks on this album would be tracks 3, 4, & 5. Totally worth the money spent on it!!!

Future Disco Genius!,

Some of the 1 Star reviews here are so poorly written that it becomes impossible to take them seriously! Instead, they're reduced to illiterate. juvenile rants for the rest of us to laugh at!COAD is an exceptionally well-produced slice of dancefloor heaven! Madonna is in top form here in body and mind, and her accompanying world tour was one of the biggest grossing for a female artist in 2006! Age really doesn't enter in to the equation, and I would challenge anybody here to stand up and say they can match Madonna's fitness level! To say anyhing further would be to labour the point!

This may be Madonna's best release (as a whole) to date. What other recording artist can stay at the top of their game throughout their career and still release solid catchy pop music? This album is consistant dance/pop with difinate hooks and basslines that will keep the dance floors shakin' for years. It's amazing dance music. It's classic Madonna. It's pure genius.

I never thought I would like this album but it turned out that I really do and that Madonna has changed my mind and for the better the best song on her has to be hands down Get Together, Hung Up, Push and Issac

i'm a little bit disapointed of what i heard on this CD. not to say that the music is bad or an outright flop, but that's not what you can expect coming from Madge since her Ray of Light and Music days. It's really bizarre that instead of trying to reach new grounds, Madonna is scaling back for less. However some stuff still hits the aim, like Hung Up, which is absolutely fabulous, unlike her second single Sorry, which sounds quiet good as a CD-track but doesn't follow the same winning formula, being on radio. Hopefully she'll be smarter for her next single release and will choose something more dinamic, than just stagnating around. And while it's just passsed a few months after the release of Confessions, i'm itching to get the next album where Madge will be sounding at her best lending her voice to big ballads and R&B-sounding numbers (Ray Of Light & Bedtime Stories come to mind), instead of showing everybody her veteran side.

I disagree with the people who say "if you don't like this album you did'nt like her music b4 this" and that "we did'nt know her music from the 80's" that's just BULL! everyone got their own opinion and if someone don't like this then thats their opinion! everyone heard madonna's music from the 80's and 90's because it was all over the place. by the way, i own "ray of light" "music", "american life" and "confessions on a dance floor" and enjoy them all more then this so how can u say I don't like her previous albums?!?! don't judge people on what YOU think is true, know the facts first!the "music" cd is still the best! |
