4.0 out of 5 stars Another Great Rammstein album., Mar 19 2013
Ce commentaire est de: Rosenrot (Audio CD)
Im a huge Rammstein fan, and i believe this album is very underrated compared to other Rammstein albums. This album is a little bit softer than previous albums i feel, but it still more than delivers. The tracks that stick out to me the most are Benzin, Mann Gegen Mann, and Wo Bist Du. Benzin and Mann Gegen Mann hit hard, and are made for headbanging. Wo Bist Du is more of a ballad, but i feel its one of the best Rammstein ballads out there. That being said, there are a couple of songs i didnt care for, particularly Stirb Nicht Vor Mir. The combination of Till and the womans vocals just dont mesh, one of the members of the band (Flake) even admitted to being embarrassed of the song.

Overall, another great Rammstein record. I wouldnt say its their best by any means, but definitely still worth picking up.

I find it difficult to comprehend how vehemently I disliked this album when I first heard it. In toning down the industrial and techno-dance aspects and revving up the heavy rock and adding some symphonic elements, all I could hear was generic metal rock. It took Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da (Dlx Ed) for me to be able to follow the new direction in Rammstein's music. It takes some getting used to, but don't worry... the lyrics are as witty as ever. Wo Bist Du, a song of longing for a lost love, is my current favourite song on the album. Benzin, Rosenrot, Spring, Zerstören, Hilf Mir and Feuer und Wasser are further great songs. I might even come to like Te Quiero Puta. This really is a great metal album. Don't overlook it!

Rammstein has my vote as one of the three best metal bands ever. With this, their fifth album, they continue their mastery of the genre. This mix of fast and slow is always dark, although some songs deceive if you don't understand German. For example, Feuer und Wasser is explicit and voyeuristic and tender and eventually sad and angry at once. Rosenrot is a sly take from the classic Goethe poem Roeslein auf der Heiden, but blames the maiden, not the boy. Te Quiero Puta is sung in idiomatic Spanish with a saucy Spanish rhythm and a saucy Spanish female voice. Benzin reminds me of Metallica's Give Me Fuel, Give Me Fire, and is a hard driving song with inflammatory lyrics. Wo bist Du is another great mix of rock and lyricism.

Favourite Rammstein? It's really hard to choose. They all rock hard, they all have deep roots in German and other European literature, they all echo musical ideas from ages past, and they're all original. Probably a tie between Rosenrot and Reise Reise, with a nod to Mutter.

I think you should get them all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rockin' Rammstein, Nov 14 2010

If you like their song, "Du Hast," you will love this CD. This is one of the best of Rammstein. In all my years of listening to rock n' roll, I find Rammstein to be one of the best metal bands of all time. This is one CD that is a "must have" for your music collection. Rock on!

4.0 out of 5 stars The Fifth In The Line, Feb 26 2006
By A Customer
Ce commentaire est de: Rosenrot (Audio CD)
Well, Rammstein has come out with their fifth album in 2005. It combines the bands heavier elements in the songs Benzin, Mann Gegen Mann, Zersotren and Te Quiero Puta with some softer melodical songs like Wo Bist Du, Srib Nicht Vor Mir (Don't Die Befor I Do)and Ein Leid. Though the songs Rosenrot, Spring, Hilf Mir and Feuer Und Wasser fall in between these two making a combination that some like. In my opinion the heavier songs are more to their older days of Sehnsucht, their best days. Alot of thier older fans wonder what they were thinking with SNVM(DDBID) but stick with them because of their better songs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rammstein-Metal God's, Feb 9 2006

WOW is all i can say rammstein have pulled off another major win with the new cd. Rosenrot is a true metal master piece filled with harmony/heavy metal/ riffs/double bass/ killer grooves/ keyboards they got it all. Every rammstein cd to me has always been worth 5 stars. Till Linderman really knows his music ( 4 years of university). The only negative I have to say about this album is that there previous album reise reise is better. Now this cd is still amazing. Just i thought reise reise had a better flow and sound, but this cd sounds more of a different experiment cd by rammstein it's also pretty dark (lyrics) probaly equally tied with reise reise. also the dvd is amazing with the fire and flame throwers part of their up coming dvd definatly pick this cd up and if you don't already have reise reise pick that masterpeice up!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A stunning fifth consecutive masterpiece from Rammstein!, Dec 10 2005
By A Customer
This is unbelievable! They did it again! And never failed! I love all of their albums, they have a different vibe and beauty. Rosenrot is their darkest. I don't agree they go pop. Yes, Spiteri's voice is an embarrassing choice for Stirb nicht for mir (English vocals are not good for Rammstein songs, just remember how bad the English versions of Engel and Du hast were), otherwise a nice ballad. Overall, the album is quite heavy. For me Spring is the best song from the album, probably one of the best Rammstein songs, totally sick and heavy, it gives you goose bumps. It could be the title track. Other highlights-Zersoeren (the heaviest song of the album), Feuer und Wasser (beautiful ballad about a twisted mind), Mann gegen Mann, Hilf Mir (explains their addiction to Fire?), Benzin und Rosenrot, the first two singles from the album . Tequiero puta is a great experiment, I'm sure it will please a lot of spanish speaking fans. Great album! I'm waiting for their live DVD!

Rammstein has done it again with an excellent album. Rosenrot is the perfect companion album to Reise, Reise. Songs such as Mann gegen Mann, the title track of Rosenrot, and Stirb nicht vor mir make for one helluva auditory experience.
